Long press “# key” and “power on key” at the same time in power off mode, then you will be asked “All data will be lost, continue?” After you select “Yes,” the sequence will be entered with reminder “Formatting flash, please wait.” The phone will auto switch on when reset finishes.

Does anybody knows how to reset the phone before he is running on, because I can't solve this. I'm writing the pin code and after that hi wont starting, only blinking on several seconds. I bought it two days ago, today is first time charging but I changed the background picture and that was the problem I think. After changing there was message that is unsupported file. That's all. It was picture with motion, dont know the format. Please help !!

@richard you have to update the app. i just did that and am writing from the phone. same with twett... just launch the app and an update will present itself. i just dont know how to read pdf files, havent tried doc files eather. cheers.

u can uninstal programs i java folder just go on options and then delete,use bolt lite version to watch you tube , i have another problem how to clear phone memory,i use mem card that i send all data there and nothing to phone and agaen is full , other than that this phone is great use mobile9 and download java from there,also go on opera and update new version of opera mini 5.1browser sign version, for me its great

mikeco68, 21 Dec 2010hi, experienced the same problem, memo express megamall rep... moreI also bought an OT-355D. This is working perfectly about a month. Its a no-frills, basic call and text QWERTY phone. (Also dual sim.) It's the OT-806D is the one giving me a problem.

It worked ... morehi, experienced the same problem, memo express megamall replaced my phone with a new one, but after a day the same problem persisted. i called memo express head office and will now request for a replacement unit of another brand. sorry, this alcatel is full of bugs!!!

I bought one at Mega Mall a couple of weeks ago. It worked fairly well for a week then suddenly when I pressed the messanging the phone blacks out and sorta hung, then I could not access my messages anymore (the phone keeps blacking out). I could still receive messages but I could not read them. With a little thinkering, I managed to get my messages back by typing a short message via Notes then sending it out as an SMS. (I could not write anything using messaging.) Has anybody else encountered this problem? Can anyone from Alcatel check this out?
