Hi There Alcatelian People.
I've bought this phone two days ago (In Egypt)
The Phone Specs is not what's found now on their website. It's 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage (available 1.4GB approximately + 1GB internal storage)
It's truly fast and responsive.
But the current ROM has some issues of instability.
E-compass working fine (not perfect but fine)
For the price set, it's the phone ever as you can't find such specs and performance with double this price.

Does the e-compass works?

Find out the compass is not accurate. Brought it back to the service center. The technican told me a secret that in fact there is no magnetic sensor installed in 997D. Typical cheating from TCL a Chinese company!

Anonymous, 29 Jan 2013Hi, how about the camera photo quality?The camera is pretty good. Not the best, but is above average (for an 8MP). I have seen some 8mp camera phones that produce a bit better image quality though. As for the front facing camera.. its not worth describing. Its just better to be used for video calling. Taking self-portraits using the front camera is bad. VERY bad.

Recently i bought my plantronics Discovery 975.
I pair my OT997d with my nokia dual sim phone. Everytime i chat thru bluetooth from OT997d the voice i spooke out become robot sounds, i try to pair with other phone it's work fine, so i confirm either my OT997d bluetooth out or software problem. Sometimes i cant switch on bluetooth features (always show in grey). After restart then ok. Who can tell me the solution ?? Malaysia here. Thx

I have 991D, sometimes is too slow and camera (5 mpx) is under my expectations. Don`t install too many games or apps becouse it can slow down your phone.
