I'm not sure about the format but the video recorded was pretty nice, especially the audio (uses SRS). This phone really is he bang for the buck. :) Durable too (managed to drop mine a couple of times already). :)

I buy it 2 week ago and it's superb for money i gave to buy that phone. It's fluid and fast. Only problem I had was breaking calls in the midle of conversation. Reason was autobrightnes, there is some bug with that so I turn it off.

binoy, 24 Jan 2013The phone has 1GB of RAM! i know it have 1GB RAM i have the phone. am just saying in the spec sheet it was 1GB RAM but they reduce it to 512MB to disappoint people who want to buy.

MTK6577 with PowerVRSGX531 @ 200mhz i believe, 1GB RAM!!
WiFi hotspot feature, works with one or 2 sims, fluid in ui and applications. Display is actually 480x735 -240ppi, 8MP rear, 2MP Front, video is 640x480@30fps (not sure if adjustable), Jellybean on the way...

this is a scheme to sabotage a good phone by reducing its RAM from 1GB to 512MB inorder for samsung galaxy grand to get good sales.
Otherwise why such error as soon as samsung launch the dual sim phone.

I don't know if its a regional setup but my 997D has 1GB of internal memory instead of 512MB as stated in the spec sheet.. :-?
