To Chiliem: I've waited for this phone for so long, that it might be red as well, any colour suits. Besides, black version gets smeared by fingerprints, that ain't good.

Alcatel 853 is available at Pixmania.com, I guess at almost any country in Europe.
Don't know for how long it will be available though, as demand for this phone is enormous :)

@Anne: Yes, you should buy one - but it's possible that you can find in the box a 128MB mini SD-Card.
Memory of phone is 10MB.

I would like to ask, if anyone knows around how many songs mp3 files you can store on the phone when you buy it.. Is it necessary to buy an extra memory-card..

Hi all! I am trying to send usb installation guide + initial pc suite setup( setup.exe) to anyone sending me an email.run the setup first and just follow the installation guide. with usb connection you will be able to transfer mp3/video/java games to your miniSd card, quite slow actually if you need to transfer better use card reader for mass file transfer( not so convenience also
because you have to take out the miniSd. for transfer of pict taken from phonecam it should have no problem because the biggest file is ~200kb at megapixel resolution. I have to apologise to everyone here who hope to get pc suite from me. the file is too big to transfer through email(400mb+). I can try to send some of most usable part if you are using yahoo messenger.
I feel a bit sad that my bro mnazam had just
given up hope for Alcatel s853 and bought rival phone SE K750i. We are both a so called Alcatel die hard fan- I owned OT 303, 320, 501, 735 And mnazam owned 511, 501 & 735. most obvious reason here in malaysia SE k750i is selling ~RM 1030 cheaper than Alcatel s853 at RM1099 -with better specification and very stable software. I really hope that alcatel will bring out their killer phone soon if not in next few years I will change my phone to SE phone too. Alcatel please wake up show your competitors that you can produce world class phone like S853( hopefully this phone will not become the best alcatel phone EVER).

i've got this phone, but i can't get it to communicate with my laptop or hands-free kit via bluetooth! Does anyone have the same problems? Or more to point any solutions?
Also, the Alcatel website doesn't permit the download of the PCSuite - is there anywhere else we can get this from?
Help needed!

how long does the battery lasts by using the music options frequently?
