You cannot download mp3 directly to this phone from your pc except if you use OT S853 PC suite. But you can always download music from pc to your mini sd. Just use card reader.

nelson how can i download mp3 to this 853?i bought a card reader but need adapter for my mini sd.is it possible to download thru fon direct withoput driver?

firstly my phone has firmware 18B and i think it is like 188...well i dont have that messy thing happened to my phone but i hope it wont...lol...
To knight rider,
can you pls give me the specs of that phone??? coz althoguh it is a lot higher priced than s853 i would like to know if it has the sound crisppiness of my s853, and what other things it has...

Hi,
I am using my 2nd S853 with firmware 188...
Have any one experienced this?
After using it for about one day, all my diary entries disappeared! (But to do entries are still there), so I tried resetting it to the factory default...
It then works quite OK for a week, then yesterday, all of a sudden, all my diary entries are gone again!!! (But to do list is still there?!?)
What should I do? Upgrade the firmware?

I can convert mpeg clip into mp4 format that can be played by OT S853 smoothly. Just send your mpeg file to bombino_corleone@yahoo.com, I'll be glad to sent you back the mp4 format. Its all free :)

It is a problem related to the pc suite what you could try is download a newer version which supports Alcatel S853 or use something like a memory card reader to transfer files to your phone.

If you experience the 13XX error message you should sign into your PC using an admin account then install it. It should work then.

Hi,
I had my notebook cloned, so I have to reinstall PC suite...
I recalled that last time I had error if I install PC suite that came with the phone (V1.17) and installation went fine with V 1.18...
However, this time both versions failed with Error 1603: Fatal error during installation...
Could anyone please advise?
