Yes this phone works with Mpeg4, only there is different types of Mpeg4. Read the manual of the phone for the details on which is compatible with the phone.

guys can you download games like SUDOKU for me??? i wanna also if we can play mp4 in our fone...coz it says we can play mp4 but i tried and theres nothing happened

tut...i wanna know what happened coz my phone is working perfectly fine, except for the fact that it can only play music in 5 hours using speakers, but other than that, its good, in fact im playing browser games on it using Opera mini...well my phone came from versatile...thats it

tut , You can always activate SMART's gprs of this phone without hassle and problem. Just be sure your unit comes from versatile and therefore preloaded with smart, globe and sun's gprs/mms settings. If it don't have because it comes from another source other than versatile then I will provide you the settings.

hey there again. its been two years since i used this phone. i primarily use it for music before i go to sleep. no other phone can match its speakers.
but i have to buy other phone other than this because of some small problems. one is its gprs. i tried smart and globe sims but it doesnt work. i contacted the network proveders to send me their gprs setting. but still it didnt work. the phone always prompts me "404 error something" or "gateway disconnected"
also alcatel's page is always down.
any explanation of this?

I have been and am still using 1 gb kingston mini sd for my 18b unit and it hang up one time. When I check the card's contents, I found out the I've unintentionally loaded it with .pdf files and .rar files which are not supported by the phone. I removed them reinsert my 1gb mini sd and don't hang up anymore.
You can use 1 gb for this phone but just be sure not to load with things not supported by the phone.

hi there people...terry what is that software youre talking...coz i got my phone with 18B... if onlu i can help you with it...i got my phone upgraded already when i bought it... guys i wanna ask if you can use 1GB og memory for this phone...i have heard that its going to hang up when using this 1 gb memory...

After over one year of looking i can not find a source for obtaining firmware upgrade for my baby she is running 169 at the moment here in Australia....any ideas anyone wherever SOS 4 my poor baby OT-S853 poor poor baby.

this phone's bluetooth is for headset only, not for sending/receiving files..as far as i know, this phone not prone to any viruses..try resetting your phone ###847#

hey there...im worried about this fon..i cant txt and i cant even reciece a txt msg...i think this fon is prone to viruses..pls send me some tips on how to delete those viruses i recieve from the fon..my pc suit doesnt work on installing it to my computer...is thre a way to install anti-virus on this fon??i like your fon very much specially the quality of the sounds n pictures..pls help me...tnx

No, I do not use the files for upgrading. Nor can I provide the upgraded firmware, you would have to go to a licensed Alcatel service center.

my unit is not upgraded but it perfectly works and that's just fine with me...
knightrider, i have just emailed you the original files that i had in my phone when i first bought it except the locked files of course. hehe
keen, i dont know what's knightrider's business with it. but im sure it's not for upgrading. hehe

when playing is it normal for the battery to be drain at 5 hrs music playing through speakers??? and also, when i used my blue tooth to receive files from another cellphone, it asks for a passcode... can someone help me or tell me whats the passcode for this cell phone?
