i had the original ot s853 files saved in my flash drive...
maybe i could email it to you sir some other time...
a good reminder for the users of this phone...if there goes something wrong with your phone the moment you attach your mini SD card, that only means that (1) you have in your mini SD card files that are corrupted or unsupported by the phone, example would be the large file size of an image, wave files, etc (2) that you have created so many folders and subfolders for your files...as much as possible limit your folders to four or five...
sooner or later you will get the hang out of this phone...

also,
i have never, ever successfully connected this to 2 of our PC's at home..
in vista, crap... it recognized Vista as an old Operating System... hehehe

by the way, all people who help us here,
this is already 18 something.. i meant the version... which you guys said that this version is the "upgraded" already... so me sending this to versatile in manila will cost me bucks to send and for them to resend to tell me that this is the latest firmware that it has...

the crappy thing about alcatel is that not all people know about such brand.. i have a hard time selling it...
i have done nothing with my phone.. this is like a baby to me.. but 1-4x that i restarted, it still wont recognize the sd card.. i need to format it ONLY with the phone and load the music files all the f**k over again AND wont forward to many people AND most especially you are creating a long message that "message sending failed" and will that will NOT even save which u need to f**king write all over again...
the things that i love about this phone are the speakers (which makes every other brand suck), the headphones (but not the USB type with the remote that almost does not work), the red background, the default alarm (that really wakes u up), and the ever, always beautiful black color...

Hey there, think is not the first time I'm reading this here. Yep my nice cells just hangs all the time... I've reseted by ###847#... seems to be a memory problem but I can't fix it that way. Have anyone an idea o how to reset it without sim. My other problem is when I try with other sim, it just show: "sending message" and I can't use. Can I do something like FORMAT the software?

kit, we always respect peoples opinion specially your opinion. But I want to say one thing and that is: the person who can buy your unit with the price half of the original price you purchased it is very lucky enough. If only I am near you I will grab that opportunity. And as Knight Rider and I and even other users always say: This phone does not have big issues as big as you want to say here. If I can buy your unit I will take it to versatile and have its firmware upgraded to the latest then I will really have no problem with it. And about the "the phone don't detect the card" problem, it's not so difficult as most people think. The best solution to it is to reset it. The phone might still don't detect the card in the first reset so you have to reset it again for the 2nd time or maybe even third time.
Nokia users and lovers who have purchased this unit because nokia was not able to make a phone with this phone's sound quality told me that after 6 months their unit dies when they received sms or mms. I told them it is really possible not only to S853 but to all brands if during that time the phone's battery is almost zero but if the phone have enough battery power it don't have any reason turn off when it receive sms.
We are not saying that this phone is perfect as even the (they say) number 1 brand nokia still have more complains from its users.

that is it...
im selling this phone at half the price... im sick of this... i deleted 1/4 of the space for music and it still wont forward messages, it will not detect the memory card every restart.... i need to format it through the phone and put the music files back in.. im done with this... no matter how much i love this phone, im not even getting the correct things out of it.. it is 18 something already jericho, knight rider.. i cant stand it anymore...

As you all know I helped hundreds of people here that had issues with the Alcatel phones. Well I ask 1 thing in return now from you people... well technically 2 things. 1. Will please someone who has experience with the Alcatel T608 send me an email on un112@msn.com as I have some questions. And 2. does anybody have the ORIGINAL S853 backup file with all of the ringtones, movie clips and images that came with the phone included!? If someone does... or does somebody know where to get them. I would appreciate it if someone could tell me by email! Thanks!

Simple, make sure you have a mini SD card which is compatible with the phone inserted in the phone. Then install the usb driver for the phone (or just use a memory card reader), select the flash card on your pc and paste all the music onto the memory card/phone.

My inbox can store only 20+ messages. I think it's stored on the SIM memory. How can I change it to phone memory? Is that possible?

i store music files through folders already. and not that much of a problem opening.
the thing now is, i cnt freakin forward messages even though i had enough blank memory for it.
i will look into how will i send this. i am from cebu...
