There is no way we can open the bluetooth in this model to make it able to transfer files. However, there may be some software for this but I am sure this may destroy your phone except if alcatel will make innovated S853. Those who want to transfer files via bluetooth OT C825, C701 and other models are there.

regie, the two beeps is meant for the models who can set your mp3 as message ringtone. The fact is if during that very time that your (let's say) Hotel California mp3 plays and at the same time your message arrives, the two beeps tells you that an incoming message is received. If the phone don't beep then there is no way you can be informed that there is an incoming message because your listening to your mp3 that you also setted as your ringtone. The OT E801 that dont' have the "Set mp3 as ringtone" don't beep when a message is received. I hope that I have helped you with this.

you can record a video depends on your memory card capacity..before you shoot your video, click Option, then change your default folder to Memory Card, then change the Duration to High Duration

what's the difference between normal ringtone mode and discrete ringtone mode?
because i cant find the difference at all everytime i change modes.
i just want to get rid of the two beep-beeps that always sound before my message tone.
i believe the discrete mode turns off the two beep-beeps but its not happening in my phone?
can anyone help me fix this problem please.
and also what's the use of the privacy settings if i cant even lock any of my directories or menus. does this mean, this is also a defect in my phone?

No, that has to do with compatibility the games were not designed for used with the phone which means they won't work properly on it.

Nelson, one question regarding java apps. Is the JAD neccesary? I know som phone wont run apps without it but looks like alcy 853 dont need this? is this right or i am mistaken?
asking , because i have those pack games from gamelost and many of them wont run? is this the matter of missing JAD?

Vanext, I have added .jad files to the games posted by sikaninad. I'll post more items too like videos, games and applications, wallpapers, screensaver and mp3s if yahoo can accomodate them.

the manual says i can record upto a 10minutes video if im using a memory card. I hav tried invein the longest duration is only 30 secs. How can i shoot for 10 minutes. also bluetooth problems

If Alcatel had a software update for this phone which enabled the function then yes, but sadly in this case I have to say there is no such update. Just buy the newer C series which all have fully enabled bluetooth or wait for the new S generation about to be introduced next year.

it just lacks bluetooth capabilities...
we can unlock it bluetooth capability...

Hey Alcateler guys! Do you expect soon new sofwtare firmware for the S853 that unlocks the bluetooth? its a pity for the Alcatel that cuts that important bluetooth ability of the phone:((( like in 753 they cutted the IR transfer:(( Why do Alcatel does these stupid mistakes? May be the Rival Brands pay to alcatel to produce cutted version phones to be weaker than their models?
Somethings is wrong? why do they do this policy? And i dont believe they are so stupid that is not on their mind to put the transfer bluetooth!!! ANd after that they could change tjis in their NEW firmwares, buyt they doesn't do it. WHY WHY WHY ???????????

Vantext, no that is not possible and tweaking the software on your own using non Alcatel licensed software will void the warranty.
