No Jericho the E801 software will not work with this.

Here in cebu an extra batt pack cost almost PhP600 (RC cellshop (E-Mall), yeah the usual fully loaded batt will alst only for 10-12 hours with plenty of texting and music file playing this will be shorter in the long run i think after 4-6 months batt life will be erratic, setting your network to fixed manual setting and not in an automatic mode your batt power will last enough because network searching during cell use can exhaust your cell, he he he, just the mere changing two batts can also drain your batt juice

can i use pc-suites of other alcatel phones for my s853? I only downloaded OT-E801's mp3 converter.

There is no such blocking option in this model. We can only create PIN1, PIN2, and MENU password.
Problems that may be encountered in this phone can be fixed by resetting the phone by typing ###847#.

Is there any help to get. My 853 is jammed in some way. When I start it up, a clock apears instead of asking a pincode. This continues like forever - Can anyone tell me what is wrong, at what to do?

is there anyway to block the cellphone?
I mean, put a code to the cellphone, I've seen others that when the keypad is blocked, to unclock it the must press * and X button, and then enter a PIN CODE
can this be done to the cellphone, or atleast block any function via this?

My phone's battery is finally giving up on me after only 1 year's use (normal use I might add). Anyway, I don't fancy buying a new phone just yet but I'm having difficulty finding somewhere I can buy a new battery at a reasonable price (not more than €20). I live in Belgium. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Yes confuse girl just reset the phone using that code... remember though... all info stored on the phone (so not the mem card or sim card) will be erased...!!!!!

confuse gurl, this is just a memory problem. This can be fixed by resetting your phone. Just type ###847#.

my phone is out of memory!!! the ironic part is, i have no save messages on my inbox, drafts, archive and templates folders. i did delete all the entries in my personal dictionary. could somebody explain and tell me what can i do about this? help!!!!!

Yes you can block all numbers, numbers not featured in your phone directory, or phones from foreign countries. And no there will be no new firmware.

Yeah, that's true. So for people who have problem with this phone or for any alcatel phones (published or not published here) just post your problem here and Knight Rider and I (and any other alcatelers) will do our best to help you. For password resetting problem, just post it here. ###847# is not merely the reset password for all models. And although we don't recommend repairing this model by yourself (mechanical repair) we can provide you the repair manual if it is necessary.

In terms of sound this phone is the best there is... pictures are ok, but not extremely special... just what you would expect from 1.3Mpix camera, its good enough.

I just wanted to ask if this phone is any good? Is the sound and picture quality good etc? I never bought an Alcatel cellphone before because everybody seems to have bad opinions about it but this phone looks cute so I want to try it but I just wanted to make sure first. Hope somebody can reply to me. Thanks.
