The bluetooth of this phone is only for BT Headset. If you are used to transfer files via bluetooth OT C825 is there for you.

The phone can not tranfer files through its bluetooth... you can use the usb or infrared for that.

There are lots of free games and applications for alcatel phones in www.getjar.com. You can also get some from www.mobilerated.com and www.tagtag.com. You can also try www.mobile9.com. You may even get the games and applications from me. Just email me at nelson_maus@yahoo.com and tell me the kind of games and applications you want. I already have sent games and applications to those who emailed me. Some have requested me a dictionary for this phone and have received them. I am waiting for those who want karaoke, bible, koran, and others.

Does somebody know an adress where I can download java games for this mobile? Cause I tried some, but there's a big problem when a game starts (1 game of 10 :( ) and asks yes or no questions, it doesn't work with any buttons. :( (sometimes the down joy = yes :S)

I wish there's a new english version of the manual, so I can show it to the stores if ever they deny that this phone works with 1GB.
I'm thinking of downloading a german manual, but it will look funny if I will let them look at it. They won't understand. :D

The newer German manuals Jericho state that the phone should work with up to 1gb ;) So... but yes go with what you feel the most safe with.

i think i'll just stick to 512 MB because i'm afraid 1GB won't work again. I'm contented with that anyway. i don't like to gamble my money again for 1GB (it's like deal or no deal.. i'm fine with the offer). And because it's written on the manual that this phone is just up to 512 MB. At least, if it does not work, i can bring it to wellcom or versatile telecoms, and they can't claim that it won't function because it is written on the manual. I have proof.

Just reset your phone by typing ###847# - factory reset (with SIM). Remember, all data in your sim card and memory card will remain intact and only items (like directory, dictionary, etc.) stored in your phone's memory will be cleared.

Greetings im from baguio. I both this phone last june 2006 both it at 14K inclusive of a 128mb external memory and PC suite 4. it was working well d sound is great better than other phone out on the market but after a few months i have trouble receiving text messages. as of now i can only store up to 3 text message (assuming each message is 106 characters). I have upgrade my sim card to the 64K of globe telecom with roaming enable.. and still i can only store as much. is there any one who can help me.. do i have to restore factory settings settings and or softwares where i could clear my phones memory. Im not asking to unlock my phone i ust wanna receive more messages.

I recommend the use of SanDisk... ALWAYS... however... try to make a deal with the shop asking if you could return the card should it not function properly... but ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS go for SanDisk.

looks like it's hard. my friends doesn't have miniSD cards. They only have MMC. i think i'll just buy a P600 1GB kingston suicidally.

For me, the best thing you should do is to borrow Kingston, Sandisk or Transcend mini sd from your friends (1 GB if possible) then try to use it in your phone. If it works fine, then it will be the best time for you to buy your own either of the 3 brands.

It doesn't display all the files. I tried to reset my phone yesterday. There were 350 MB files on my memory card. Everything was working fine... I uploaded some videos, so it reached 399 MB. The problem is there again. It doesn't display all the images. And I tried to take a picture, an error appeared: "service not available"
I was thinking if the memory card's brand is a factor. I tried the brands KingCom and PQI. You are using Kingston and SanDisk memory cards. And it works fine in your phones without any problem.
I'm planning to buy a card again... but I can't decide because it's another waste of money. I already spent more than P1,200 because of memory cards. I also want to give up and use a 512 MB card instead..
Please help me decide. Will I buy a Kingston/Sandisk or give up and use 512MB :)

Jerico, what do you mean can't detect. If you mean it cannot read 1 GB card it's not true. The truth is it can read/detect 1 GB card only that it don't display the correct memory available in 1 GB card. It merely displays 355 mb or something like that if you use 1 GB but it still work fine with 1 GB.
And about the music, I am having 158 songs in my 1 GB Kingston memory card and all of them are being displayed and played.
And about the games, I have tried loading my mini sd with games not compatible with this phone like SCANR.jar and other nokia games. They cannot be launched but they are still displayed. I can read them in my memory card.
My unit is 18b but to tell all of you honestly I got one problem with this phone and that is: it don't charge using usb cable as my mate's S853 does. But for me, this is the only phone that has a very good sound quality so far with a very affordable price compared to other brands like nokia, samsung and SE.
