Alex no response from the lady in green , I gave a proposal to restart the phone but did not answer whether it helped. This is all I can suggest if you do not help then go in service for assistance . first time for reinstalling android is free . Now if you did not do root or flash on phone then you can try this -Alcatel help- it recommends in this situation , 1st . Remove the battery ..so then put it back and
restart it by pressing and holding the power key for more than 7s. if it does not work ...then...
2. The factory data reset ....
hold down the volume up key and press Power key at same time until the screen lights up to boot the device with recovery mode.And then press volume up \ down key to select the wipe data \ factory reset. This will erase all of your personal data , internal storage , downloaded app . and the phone starts as new. if this will help you notify us to know

[deleted post]I received a firmware update this morning , 40mb , but nothing has changed , it remains at 4.2.2 . as such I received a few months ago, but nothing new.
phone is really very good , and with 4.2.2 works great. but I think we all expect from alcatel- firmware 4.4 kit -kat . so maybe that could be achieved but if any of you wrote a few words to Alcatel for this update , because if we are more Request a much better chance to win .

i have been using 7042 D model for 2 months, no problem till now. a good phone indeed, fast and handy. but i need to know about upgrading it. i have version 4.2.2 , can anyone suggest?

C -7 and C -9 are on the same platform , which means , that they are almost the same , the difference is in the display 5.5 ' ' vs 5 '' and the battery c -9 non removable battery vs c -7 removable battery . In my opinion, c - 7 is suitable for wearing because it is slightly smaller 5 '' is the best size .but it remains up to you to decide both are very good.

VLC seems to be the best player for everything. I recommend it as a full time media player.

Vhafuwi, 14 Feb 2015Okay, is that 8mp feature available on the lite version or ... moreI've already written but here goes , every model c -7 supports 8.3mpx , but some models are installed with the camera capturing of 5mpx . so if you want you can download and install ( cameringo - by my opinion the best ) HD 8.3mpx , free , a little slower , but better quality , and when you 're browsing pictures you can zoom in a lot more .
There are many options as to dslr camera + lens lot of filters , toon , art , lomo , hipista , retro, mono , faux, traces , sketch , pop , spktro , morph , twist , mash , and each of them with 6 modest, + silent mode , ISO up to 3200, macro focus,horizon level,histogram,incrase brightness,image stabilizer,and not to mention ,a lot more, there are fantastic opportunities and all this for free with CAMERINGO , all these other apps for these things, ask for money .

This means , you can install a new camera app , and I recommend - cameringo- which is HD and has excellent performance + proff stuff , and what is most important, free and at no extra annoying apps .

And the cam interface is so minimal you can't select what megapixel count you want. Mine is always on 2560x1440 which is roughly 3.6mp. Sad stuff. Hope they update the interface.

With the exception being the main camera... moreIf you want a better camera then go to play store and download ' cameringo ' This is a better camera .. have better image quality and has got 8.3mpx - 3840x2160 . just no video with this app but uses the one you already have for video .

hi please help me here..
i've been using my phone for about 6months only and i been experiencing this problem. when i turn on my phone it just keep loading until alcatel logo but it doesn't enter the main screen i already check this from alcatel store they said i downloaded not compatible apps but the thing is i didn't and i just used common apps like facebook, twitter, instagram and snapchat..i just want to know if anyone here using alcatel pop c7 phone also experiencing this situation..
