Mafia1111, 17 May 2015How to update?Updates are usually a tricky affair.Most phone carriers/manufacturers tend to avoid pushing updates to 'non flagship' devices i.e if you're not using a galaxy edge or a htc m8 or something along those lines,you probably wont be receiving an update.But don't worry too much,at least 90% of the experience is still the same as what you have now.
However you can keep checking on your phone....just incase there's one by going to 'Settings'----'About phone(it's the last option)'----'System updates'----'Check for updates'.You should be notified if there is any update available for your device.

max, 31 May 2015too small internal storage. is there any solution to this p... moreHi max?The storage(512MB) is actually enough for most uses although most phones are now coming with (1GB/1024MB) as standard.The highend phones come with 2/3/4 GB but definitely cost more price wise.
The solution to your issue for now is:
1)Save all multimedia i.e songs,videos and pictures on an external SD card
2)Delete/uninstall all unnecessary applications that you downloaded to free up RAM space.
3)This is usually not recommended for novice users;'root' the phone using Kingo root or any other rooting software and remove unnecessary applications that came preinstalled with the phone such as games which take up the limited and valuable space.Rooting also enables you to install applications on the SD/memory card which is a big bonus.The benefits outweigh the risks in my opinion

mon, 03 Jul 2015my brightness button is not working. cannot change the brig... moreHi mon?The alcatel d5 doesn't have a dedicated hardware button for adjusting brightness.To adjust the brightness go to Main menu----'Settings'----'Display'.There is a slider just below the 'Economical backlight' option.Use it to adjust the screen brightness as you deem fit.
However,if you want to dim the screen better,there is a tiny but useful application called 'Screen filter' available on the Google App store that will definitely help you maximize your battery life too.

Hi zech?This tends to occur when the network configuration changes,more often than not the password.Go to Main menu---'Settings'---'Wi-Fi'----Press and hold on your network from the list and in the dialogue box that shows up.....choose Forget network.Now connect to your Wi-Fi again as if you're connecting for the first time.Hope it solves the problem(Note:Most home Wi-Fi's are usually configured to use DHCP i.e dynamic assigned addresses---if yours is configured otherwise it may be what is causing the issue for your phone)

hi guys.. i got d5 for 4 months i guess, and i dont have any problem connecting it to our wifi. but lately, when i came home, it wont connect anymore to wifi, it keeps on looping into "connecting.... and then authenticating....obtaining ip address... then will go back to connecting again and start looping.."
any idea how to fix this please.

Audio problems here. phone works fine on speakers but whenever you plug an earphone or headset, you'll just hear a cracking static sound, music will play low on background, but the cracking is more eminent, I've tried factory reset & hard reset & even had it reprogrammed, what do I do next?? is this a hardware issue?

I just got a new one from a plan but trying to return it and find something better, after trying it gets easily lowbat without doing anything, camera not so good, hustles on multitouch, reviews from internet are negative and many does not recommend it!, sound not good, touch screen nope, a lot of not needed apps, low specs, so low RAM!, DISAPPOINTED!,
