I Sold my iPad 4 for 199$ just because of iOS 11 and this iPad,
well even there is some price difference in my Country like 390$ for 32gb instead of 329$ i still can call this affordable, for an iPad, and for iOS 11.
i just need hope there is no lag since A9 chip need to push 1536x2048 pixel instead 1080x1920 pixel on 6s+

best p/p ipad.
due to the non-laminated screen, it's not a huge deal while retina display is so beautiful.
no pen - no problem, i can use adonit pen as well
no smart keyboard - no problem, i can use 3rd bluetooth keyboard as well (like logitech,..)
40 grams heavier is really a big deal for you? absolutely not.

iPad for regular users with value price.
iPad Pro for power users with premium price.

I am an iPad 4 us... moreiPad mini 4 won't be slow at all but I recommend this device 1 because it support better multi tasking due to better chipset 2 it will be easier for you to taking notes using your stylus because of a bigger screen. other than that I think the only difference is size of the screen.

Should I get this or the iPad mini 4?
I am an iPad 4 user and is thinking of an upgrade to help in my post-graduate studies. I like the screen size and portability of the Mini 4 but I'm worried that it will slow down after some time because the Mini 4 is already 1.5years old.

If ordinary tasks and playing games Is your purpose it is more than enough. finally apple came up with something valuable for purchase and that's this device I purchased an iPad Air 2 1.5 year ago for 130$ more on a lower specs and both perform relatively the same I played some games on both of them are very smooth but if you are a graphist or a designer go for pro model they handle designing apps better. There is no obvious difference for playing games between pro ones and air 2 or this =)
