Hi,Im from Malaysia and wanting to get an ipad
but I cant make up my mind to either get a 32gb mini 2 and 16bg air,as the prices are the same for this 2 specs
and all the other spec of this 2 are similar
Please do give some opinion

The theme marketing word pace that used when introducing that is "The Tablet To Replace Your Laptop".... When microsoft saying as that u tell me that "it's not a tablet"... Both uses intel core i series cpu - super fast but more power hungry compared to tablets.
Both uses ssd hdd.. not like those emmc found in tablets.
Both weigh almost the same. 2.49 with dock vs 2.38 or 2.96 pound (not really portable like a tablet.. but rather place on a desk.. the vents will burn your hand when its under load)
Both have no lte/3g versions
Both can plug and play almost all devices - unlike tablets that can otg only a few stuff.
Basically a laptop is a work horse, and tablet is a energy efficient ultra portable with a large screen.
You see surface pro 3 as a laptop replacement. I see it as an unfinished product (where is the keyboard and trackpad for the productivity required in a desktop OS?.. you have to buy it seperately .. and split it).
And you can see that Surface Pro 3 is not listed here as a tablet.. because it isn't. So cannot be compared to iPad.

This is one of the greatest product from apple.
But at this much higher price point apple should give more than 1GB ram, because in future there will be latest os (ios8/9) and there hardware requirements would be much more...
And also there will be a lot of applications that will kill the ram of this product.
I think at this price point there are lots of challangers in android to compete with this Ipad air...

Samsung Tab S is not even released yet.
And beside iPad is still the best. Because regardless of devices, 99% time you are using apps, and iPad have the best quality apps in all.
