I'm so happy Apple didn't focus on *specs*, as some haters has pointed out that there are some inferior android devices with higher *specs*. Apple has their reason, and at this point, *specs* is not an issue, but liability, quality, and overall usage. They focused on the product itself, if its not necessary to jack up it's *specs* its pointless. Dumb apple haters "blah blah blah, but this android device have better specs blah blah blah, not as good screen* go away.
Ios >>>>>>>> android applications. There is bound to be some dumb company that will make an android tablet with higher specs no matter what specs they put into their device., this is beyond's apple's control so they just focus on product rather then whats out there. I expect this product to dominate the smaller tablet industry, just like their ipad line of products.

Ipad 2 16gb wifi= 399$
Ipad mini 16gb wifi= 329$
N both have similiar spec
Beside pixel density n screen size.

Man this ipad mini 16gb price just around 329$ and new ipod touch 32gb 299$. So should ipod drop price to 249$ n ipad mini to 299$ it'd be more sweet to consumers.

RAM is only 512 MB, processors dual core 1.0 GHz...this spec is for year 2010 era not year 2012.

yeah you can say your tab 2 has better screen. let me ask you how many times your tab2 logs on you especially when you have uploaded many apps on that thing. countless right? apple doesnt log at all even when theres a little amount of memory left on it, its still suprisingly fast. come on guys we all know no company will get near enough on apples apps and games in terms of graphics compared to loggy apps and ugly graphics of android. not to mention its crappy old ugly plastic build. if you own any android and apples products youll know what i mean!!!!

This tablet has nothing more then other ta... moreDude for ios it's better enough...u go to the tab market and see how many of the tablets go for a big hit...but iPad does always...all the others compromise in some way or the other,,,,,,i think u have to learn a lot about gadgets...for wp phones and iOS even a 800 MHz processor will get it smooth..but for ur android u need1.5,1.7 ghz.....but only for multitasking does apple give the powerful processors...and ur android low end phones......look how they lagg behind...only the high end phones do well....

Are you kidding? This tablet has nothing more then other tablets of its class. 512mb of ram!!!?? 1ghz processor dual core!!!??? Open your eyes people there are tablets in market with quad core processors and 2gb of ram and way better display. I understand now why apple sells so much.

It's worse than Chinese tablets, except the camera. Please do not buy Apple just because the name is Apple. Check and compare the specifications. Why do you give twice the money for the name itself. I'm using Chinese made tablet and Japanese phone.

i am not apple fanboy. But i have to accept that IPADs are better 10 times than the android tab. Especially this ipad mini has changed my mind and i am going to have this lovely slate. But in the case of phones, SAmsung GAlaxy S3 is better than iphone5.

not for me - I don't see mywelf holding this pad comfortably. Its light, but my thumbs would immediately cover the screen. Not sure if this form factor fits into a jacket pocket...
