The re... moreLook here, i am tired of fanboys telling us who want mouse to go buy a laptop.. or go Mac.
The main reason we are attracted to iPad Pro, is a simple wish.
1. Good battery life.
2. Not running a heat processor.
3. LTE support.
4. More portable then the avg laptops.
5. Apps when we are not into serious productivity.
Thats why you continue to see rants of such kinds. MOUSE MOUSE MOUSE year in year out, flooding the Apple discussion pages. Cries of the avg word / numbers users.
If you want to replace your aging iPad Air and you are just a causal user, i suggest you get iPad mini 4/ iPad 5 gen. Double check again, and then check again. Just see it in the Apple store. Think if its worth three times a iPad 5 cost!
The A10x, 120mhz Pro vision, iPhone 7 camera (seriously? just use iPhone7 and photo stream will do) do it no justice. Mostly a big waste of money.

To enhance your word processing capabilities, you buy smart keyboard.
To make sure you can type properly with the smart keyboard, you set the iPad on a table.
To prevent gorilla hands, you need a pointer device, so you can rest your arms on the table.
Then of course on the go, you gain touch, but lose some aspects of productivity. Like using the software keyboard and etc.
In fact, gaining mouse is the bare minimum for production for this device on a table. It needs easy way to move files, (File App iOS11 is nothing NEAR its MacOS counterpart.. no AFP, no SMB) so for professional to take this seriously.. it is still a Big nono.

The reviews are great, everytime i read reviews the more i want this, and well actually today is the day when my pro shipping to me.

All these years iv been using my first iPad Air and tried to find a reason to upgrade, upgrading to 5 gen doesn't offer enough. This 10.5" was finally good time to upgrade this old Air, im using iPad a lot so i wanted it to be best iPad available when im using my money.
Also reading your comment, laptop is clearly better for you, carrying mouse for tablets just sounds stupid in my opinion. If you want it to be laptop then buy laptop and not tablet..

The weight is exact same than my old 9.7" Air, if you don't have older pro version it weights more or less same than your old one. So it's not any harder.

With t... moreI agree with you, maybe we used to pointing the word by using mouse, but just “got used to it”, I’ve tried to copy an 1000+ words and try to make some change on the middle part by using finger and arrow keys to position it right, not much painful to do so, and I can’t imagine if I have to carry a mouse around with my iPad just for this purpose, it seems more complicated.

3. Hardcore gorilla hands. with smart keyboard. (Poor arms)
4. Mouse.
Tell me which you refer.
This tablet is NON Pro. Its never designed for Pros. Only for artist and drawing people.. AND EVEN THOSE PEOPLE have problem using the UI because its dump down to support TOUCH crap. With the 10.5 inch, it make it harder (although not impossible) to hold it in the hand and work, which means its more comfortable to set it on a desktop.. and mouse or trackpad would work nicely.
It might look pretty for the avg touch consumers only. And then again, why sink 2K of your money, when you can get an iPad mini / iPad 5gen for much less and perform the same task? Or up to a Macbook where you can really get stuff done?
Look at reviews sites if you are not convinced. Some of which say its not worthwhile to review it with iOS10 now. It needs iOS11 to shine!. Btw. iPad mini / iPad also get iOS11, same set of features. Now which "Pros" need this tablet? - None.

shin, 23 Jun 2017no information about CPU and GPU?All you need to know is that the CPU and GPU is a beast and basically destroys any device currently out there running Android or iOS for now. The apple A10X fusion chip and it's GPU will even hold up well and probably even beat devices performance wise in the near future like the Note 8, Pixel 2 and should be on par basically with the A11 chip in the iPhone 8.

You get used to the size of the 12.9 inch one very quickly, basically bigger is better lol, well up to a certain point Haha.

Amazing. This new iPad sounds amazing. Apple says it has far more power than most pcs. Yes it is. 4000 single core and about 9500 multicore score in geekbench 4. Just getting one next week

The smart keyboard since iOS 9, they STOP the key repeat feature on Letters only.. so when you hold down 'a', it will only type 'a' once. Just because they have to fit accent key CRAP into the keyboard. While its is a simple fix on OSX, iOS we are stuck with this stupid implementation without an option to turn it off, less jailbreak.
As for the pointer system, you need to master the art of keyboard shortcut, just because you have NO mouse support, else you spend 1/2 of your productive time TOUCHING the SCREEN.
Type a wrong word.. ? Oh dear.. let the drag fest begin! Touch the screen. NEED bold oh crap.. touch the screen. Multi select words... touch the screen. If your edit is on the top left corner.. and bottom right corner.. your poor fingers have to travel 12.9 inches EVERYTIME! (On a mouse its just a few mm of movement!). With the Aid of the Pencil.. you still need to swing 12.9 inches overtime!
Thats why you will not last long on a iPad Pro, YOU PRAY your work is as short as possible, and you PRAY VERY VERY HARD you do not make any mistakes or need custom fonts. or bold.
A KEYBOARD WITHOUT A MOUSE is a 1970 computer.
Thats why i when back to Macbook Pro. Knowing iPad Pro is noPro, just a gimmick and nothing different from the iPad / iPad mini line up. STUBBORN Apple. You lose sales on iPad THIS IS ONE OF THE REASON.. unreasonable hard to use, need to workaround piece of tablet.
With the release of iOS11, File App appears after 8 years of ranting. You will find its amazing!! Shouting Praises about it.. then in 8 more years later, comes the mouse.. Facepalm.
