            r0ck got tooold lol.

must say the new samsung is looking quite juicy!

            -proper operating system
-loads of features on a 3.5 inch screen

            HOWEVER

i dnt think its going to win over the ipod because its multi-touch display is incredibly good.

just waiting for that s60 touch phone...:)

alth0ugh i HAVE seen iPh0nes whos batterys were SH0T w/in its FIRST YEAR 0f use and yes, that d0es SUCK cuz itz an INTERNAL battery & replacing it requires s0ldering so u have t0 be s0mewhat "technical" if u want t0 fix ur 0wn ph0ne.

VERY RARE that ive seen this th0 and u can just BUY "replacement" batts 0n eBay f0r $15. alth0ugh still an "inc0nvenience" f0r the user if this happens. but again, very rare. and als0, an inc0nvenience.

                      DUDES!!!

this tw0-year battery thing IS true!!! just like 0n ANY cellph0ne(im pretty sure m0st of y0u have similar exp. t0 this) the battery starts g0ing to bits AFTER the 2 year mark. the iPh0ne was RELEASED june '07 so ALL 0f the iPh0nes are n0t even HALFWAY there yet!!! even if it gets s0ld to the sec0nd user they sh0uld still have a g00d YEAR left(or s0) of use and by the time the 2 year mark f0r the iPh0ne is up(since the BEGINNING), the iPhone 2'll be 0ut anyways s0 what's the big deal???

What i saw was a flimpsy, easy to snap in half pc that will overheat within a short period. It is obvious 2 me that time ran out on jobs and he was forced 2 leave out d dvd drive. Maybe he wanted a blu ray or hd drive but hadnt the time. £1200 with 80GB wtf, wtf! Get a life apple. 2 add d screen was copied from d vaio NR series, proof that they copy their designs, just like d iphone. Any pc wit wifi can use another pc's cd drive- just need 2 share it, wtf.

Seriously no way is the music player better on the n73, speaker without headphones might be louder bu thats about it. The ipod function is brilliant, cover flow, sound quality with headphones, 2 presses and u can be playing any track or album, nokia phones you have to go through the hassle of menu, sub menu, scrolling through tracks etc, never been into music on phones before because of too much hassle. Seriously nothing can compete with the music on iphone.

As for the camera on n73 even tho its a 3mp I found pictures not too good to say the least, they don`t look real if you know what i mean, probably something to do with all the artifical colours n stuff that gets added in. iphone pictures surprisingly arnt bad, there not going to match a 5mp cam but for a snap and shoot it does the job pretty well. As for viewing photos on iphone thats just amazing, not alot can compete with that.

                                Allen :

You have a fair point about the iphone battery and saying the 2nd hand users are going to be the ones having to foot the bill having to return phone to apple to get it replaced.

But the only thing I would say to that is that in my experience of phones they don`t seem to last much longer than 2 yrs anyway. My n73 is just over a yr and the camera doesnt work when you pull the shutter back, my sony ericsson s500 doesnt switch on ( could be battery ) my samsung D something doesnt charge now.

So basically i dont think phones now adays last to long, I certainly hope thats not the case with the iphone.

My very 1st phone the Nokia 2110 (rolls royce of phone in its day) which i bought back in 1994 still works to this day weird!

By the way allen thanks its nice to have a reasonable discussion with you guys rather than the usual "NOKIA 95 RULEZ" and iphone users f ck off! lol

pjgm. No slider problem's on my n95 and i have had it for over 10 month's.

pjgm. I also never said the n73 was better than the iphone but it's music player and camera certainly are, but it has no wi fi.

pjgm. Also, it doesn't take forever to get a gps lock. Under a minute i can have one, and you also said small screen to look at for navigation, what do you think voice guidance is for, safety once again.

pjgm. I'am 44 and certainly old enough to drive and i have used the gps on the n95 alot whenever i needed it because i live in a big city, and i know it work's very well, so don't tell me it's rubbish, and i don't care about paying for navigation per month because having it in a cellphone is very convenient. You said you have to pay for music on the iphone and it's not even loud enough for music or receiving cell call's even after downloading this amp thing you talked about. Quality of cell call's and volume of the receiving call's must take priority over everything else with any cellphone. This is where apple fell short as reported by user's such as yourself and where nokia can maintain the quality of cell call's and the volume of the receiving call, while still having all the other feature's on the n95, which also work well. You should hear how loud my n95 is when a call come's in. It's loud and i don't miss call's!! voice dialing is another great feature with bluetooth. iphone=no voice dialing. Where is the safety in that while driving.
