pjgm. My understanding is that the iphone must be sent back to apple after 1 year for a battery replacement. You said apple has said it will last 500 full charges, but of course they would say that they are in the business of selling the iphone. where is the link you can show me where apple even said this. What about the poor dude who might buy a used iphone after someone has had it for a while and then find out he has to send it away to apple for a replacement battery.

What you talking about ha? Nokia making the best phones in the world about 12 years, and you saying iphone better than Nokia? N95 has a the best GPS, and it works as Regular GPS, and has a 10000 feathers..Iphone is nice phone, but again, missing allot of features..This is 2008, and 99% people using MMS, Regular Bluetooth, video recording and more..But iphone missing all this, and thats why there is line for RETURING IPHONE....

But.......... the one gripe I do have with the iphone and the only one, is the volume, even with downloading the amp thingy from installer its still not mega loud, so yes I`ll admit that is one downside.

Someone down my gym had the same ringtone but on a diff phone, they were the other side of the gym which is quite a distance and when theres rang, i could easierly hear it but still knew it wasnt mine and mine was just my pocket! lol

As for the N95 dodgy slider, everyone knows people have been having problems with them getting all loose and rickerty after time. I`m not saying everyone, suppose it depends how you look after it, but its definately not the odd one or two

Er Apple say the battery in iphone will last atleast 500 full charges, so in theory that will be well over 2yrs of use, how many people now a days keep there main mobile phone for over 2 yrs!

The gps is rubbish on the n95, its a gimmick and nothin more, it doesnt even compare to a proper gps system. And paying a monthly fee to get voice directions is stupid, but then saying that apple do make u make you pay for certain things to, blommin itunes grrr lol

You lot do make me laugh I have to say! All this rubbish like my nokia n95 or sony ericcson k850 is better than the iphone because it has gps and 5mp cam etc is unbelievable!

Going from what you guys are saying it would mean my old Nokia n73 is better because it has a 3mp cam and oh can do mms, forwarding blah blah blah plus basically any other phone thats come out in the last year or 2 because of slightly more powerful cameras! I bought my dad a nokia 6300 pay as u go for xmas for £70 has mms and forwarding so again must be better than the iphone! lol

You brag about the gps on the n95 when the majority of you guys in here arnt even old enough to drive! also its rubbish, waiting for ages to get a lock, small viewing screen, paying for voice, having to buy a cradle and a in car charger, by the time uve done that you could spend an extra £50 and bought yourself a million times better stand alone gps!

You go into a shop and you hold both the n95 and iphone and you can easierly tell the the difference in quality, I think you guys miss the point of the iphone is not about useless functions its about the user experience and you cant tell me the n95 is a joy to use! lol

The n95 really does look and feel plasticky and to be honest even if it had a 10mp cam 16gb memory I still wouldnt want the thing, it just dont look and feel good.

Oh one last thing theres even a website been set up now now tellin people how to sort out there loose sliders! And your telling me the n95 is quality lol...

" All the nokia n95 users quickly rush off to google and type in `repairing slider n95` " ;-)

I must say when the iphone came out, I liked the looks of it but hated all the missing features. such as voice dial, mms, etc. we all know whats not there. But now it's time for me to get a new phone & my needs have changed a bit. So I came here did a phone finder just to see. Every phone was a windows mobile device, except for the iphone. I personally & many others don't need all the extra features crammed in to a phone. So for many including myself the iphone makes sense. I will never by a symbian base phone there junk. I am by no means an apple fan at all. But the iphone has what I need so thats my next phone. Unless someone can point me to a quadband, with wifi, & can hold at least 8gb space for 400.00 or less. & yes I want touchscreen.

Some of you are numpties, a lot of people with s60 phones like to use Opera Mini to Google and Opera Mini DOESNT report what OS its running on, yet i-Phone doesnt support Java and its users CAN ONLY use the built-in Safari Browser giving Apple the advantage to get these results, Symbian Freak actualy pointd that out and a few other real facts like Nokia being the 1st to have full web browsing 2YEARS AGO.

for starters every body knows that nokia has major software defects evry one of them after a little while goes cold turkey. i mean if one fone can offer you more than just a cam, and drop and drag well i wana have it, even down here in south africa im getting an iphone man. th price that is just rite not a costly software problem N95 the NO series is not for me. I rocks

And wayne aren't mobiles supost to be light small and eazy to put in your pocket? well my opinion is that the i phone doesn't stand to that is just a big thin touch tv for me.

I have the N95 8GB and my gf just got herself an iphone (thats why I'm reading these treads..)
yeah yeah N95 spec is far more better than the iphone...
but no one can beats the huge touch screen!! and the UI is impressive.
but yeah adding in music is kind of pain in the ass... I hate itunes and you cant drag and drop with iphone (can do with ipod touch)
                                    finally the price... N95 8GB - HKD6188 (USD700 with tax)
iphone - USD 399 plus tax plus turbo sim (HKD 250 in Hong Kong, USD 65 in the US)

bgj7. Don't you mean without bluetooth transfer, a2dp, and without a good camera and without auto focus and a flash and no volume and having to pay to unlock and without voice dialing and without gps. Oh yeah can't wait to get iphone, not!! n95 rule's!!!!!!!!!!
