This phone could have easily been the best phone ever produced had Apple incorporated a camera like that of Nokia N93/N93i/N95. Anyway, internet browsing with this phone is definitely going to be a pleasure and I am looking forward to iPhone's arrival in the market.

Pebo... you dont have to unlock the phone for usage outside USA because Europe is going to have their own UNLOCKED iPhones straight from Apple while USA iPhones are locked for Verizon for two years.
USA iPhone = Comes in June 2007 - Locked for two years.
Europe iPhone = Comes in August 2007 - UNLOCKED.
Asian iPhone = Comes in 2008.

Steve Jobs hasn't ruled out 3G. The first one doesn't have 3G because the US doesn't have it wide spread and EDGE is the fastest GSM technology with the biggest coverage over there. But I wouldn't be suprised one bit if by the time Europe and Australia get theirs, Apple will have a 3G model. Hence the 3-6month delay from when the US get's it.
HHe even said in his keynote that they where wworking or looking at working on a 3G model. Be patient.

Well, I would guess it would work as it's GSM,however, it's only available on the USA's Cingular network; they are Apple's exclusive partner in the US.I imagine that it could be unlatched for any network (it's quad band), but it would lack network features only provided by Cingular (they will be supporting the Visual Voicemail). I really hope that Apple partner with Vodafone in the UK!!! Fingers crossed!!!

I cannot believe people fall for this crap. The cult of apple zombies. Now I know who likes line dancing. Line dancing down to the apple store. There is nothing special about this phone. How about the tough and beautiful Sony Ericsson W850? The only thing revolutionary about this phone is that morons locked into ipods and itunes can now get a phone to play their songs on. Why volunteer for being stuck in the proprietary world of Apple. You are not cool for buying apple. They are not anti-establishment. They only want to lock you in and get your money zombies.

bad start for iPhone.no 3g in a 3g world and they say it has advanced data connections.Let them try to browse the internet in gprs mode, or even worse.. browse with a laptop/pc using the phone, hotspots are not everywhere you know, and wi-fi is built in in most new generation device-s now so they are trying to brake the market using a nice interface but incomplete technology pack

Personally I think it's pretty cool, but there is no way I will buy a 1st generation one. I will wait and see how many bugs and glitches and problems the 1st generation has, and how Apple deals with it, before I even think of buying one. Does anyone remember the iPod when it first came out??
