That pocket friendly form factor + highest quality build + software support for 5 years + best mobile SoC ? Hmmm... I'm very tempted. Android ecosystem doesn't offer anything like that. Unfortunately!

If Android manufacturers don't follow this trend and start making really compact phones like this one, my next device will be an iPhone. I'm sick of huge phones!

The charger almost nobody really needs, you have chargers and a laptop probably to charge, only if you want to you get the new charger. Understandably people are going to be annoyed, but in the end it doesn't really matter.

I don't care so much about the camera though as I use a DSLR for that purpose.
As long as it takes basic everyday photos it's ok for me, thus both 12 mini and 5 II would do the job fine.
For my next phone, 12 mini has the perfect size but 5 II has the audio jack and android (which I prefer because I've been using it for years). Not sure which one I'd choose, I guess I'll stick around with my G6 a bit more until prices drop or there's something more interesting in the market.

And no , if you want fast UI you choose android , IOS has way to long animations. Opening apps , loading apps , rendering video etc is done pretty fast in both operating systems. But overall a 90HZ/120HZ/144HZ display with better animation is only available in android phones !

iOS apps are safer and higher quality but YES you can't pirate stuff.

I think the only thing you well miss when you switch to iOS is the ability to used third party launcher on your Android, and split screen. Nothing more. Camera is better on IOS, speed and ram management is better on iOS.
And you will enjoy iOS ecosystem more compare to android.
Software update better on iOS. 4-5 yrs unlike android.

The Face ID is better and more faster to me compare to the Touch ID. Everything works well, no complain that your hand is wet or fingerprints isn’t recognized you will enjoy using the Face ID. And I believe it will be more faster on the iOS 14 with iPhone 12 mini.

Will it be okay if i switch t... moreI switched once, didn't like it so much because there was no back button (it was different for every app, you had to find it each time), and because you can't install apps from outside the app store. S20 FE is better, it has 120hz, or if you like compact phones S20 regular, or S10e.

I have an iphone for 4 years, I will change it now with iphone 12. the change is simple and efficient. I did not loose any data, pictures were added to Google photos. i don;t loose time with settings and extra tunnings. all apple applications just run! love apple music.

But Xperia 5ii auto camera app is garbage.. and its low light photos are trash.. if not using a tripod.. and even then its pretty bad compared to other phones.. too bad :(
