It&... moremy friend has iphone 12 pro max and he plays pubg and browses social media and he tells me it lasts him a really long time
ios optimization is truly amazing even my xs max can last me up to two days without charging it (not two days of usage but off and on usage like gaming social media etc etc)

Not a bad phone at all, but unfortunately Apple didn't think about the customer when they released the iPhone 12 lineup. Not having a charging adapter is criminal, and it's unfortunately become a common trend amongst other phone manufacturers, all thanks to Apple's greed and lies about saving the environment. Keeping the notch on the phone's display is another lazy attempt at "innovation", whilst all other phones are moving towards under display cameras. It's a shame that Apple let themselves down more and more each year.

Compare the S21 Ultra... moreI wouldn't value anyone's opinion who thinks that an Apple phone looks better than any of Samsung's flagships, because they clearly seem to ignore the ugly notch at the top of the screen and they also favour an outdated design concept. Literally, the only areas where Apple excel are the OS's speed, in-house CPU chip and app optimisations, other than that they are either outclassed or evenly matched in all other areas.

However, the S20 Ultra was definitely much worse in the battery department, especially the Exonys variant.

Samsung gives me the impression that it is much faster, maybe because of the 120hz display and faster animations. The advantage of iPhone is the battery and love the looks of it.

I like this phone a lot but I already encountered glitch all of the sudden when iphone randomly freezes and shows pink cubes and makes static sound, and then restarts. It's kinda weird.

I have the iphone 12 pro max i changed the samsung s20+.
The iphone battery lasts for about 2 days, the samsung less then 15 hours.
The samsung camera, and display are better then iphone 12 pro max

Give you an example. 10hrs screen on. Youtube 56% (6hrs), Gaming 20% (2hrs), 9% (Google maps 2hrs CarPlay driving)
End of the day battery left, 25%. On light usage days, 1hrs screen on, 3h standby.. i have 70 to 60% at end of the day.
No need to top up during the day. I set Optimised Battery charging, I put at my wireless charger at night daily. At 5mth, max capacity is still 100%.

I'm happy with the phone and I don't want to return it if I don't have to. During the night, my battery discharges terribly, and it always says that the safari consumer is in the background. I don't know why.
I did a factory restart, turned off a bunch of things that drain the battery, so I'll keep track of the thing, for the next 2-3 days. I hope I don't have any more problems.
