That's impossible if you are opening instagram or similar programs. Battery dies pretty quick in real life.

Got a 256gb 13 mini from day one. Bought the 14 pro, 15 pro, Galaxy s24 and just went back to the (great) mini. Its power and miniscule size (compared to what the market has to offer) gets me hoooked. And the battery (94%) lasts almost 2 days. Love live the mini!

- refusing to charge (wired & wireless)
- battery would only display as 100% until restarted
- delay/hang
- hot temperature (it kept rising so i had to manually shut it down a lot).
this is the update path i took:
17.4 > 17.4.1 > 17.4.1 (21E237) > 17.5 > 17.5.1
i really liked the phone so it was sad to send it off, i guess i don't have any luck with phones lol.

Battery life is entirely dependent on optimization, not specs. Take those plethora of Samsung and Motorola-branded phones with 5000mAh batteries giving unacceptably lower battery life than what's suggested.
I think it's a better choice not to streotype every Android phone based on the handful of devices you've used as an Apple supporter. I have no reason to make up numbers, as my phone ended up being far better than my expectations.

They can last 8 hours without continuous use, sure. But at most you will get around 5-6 hours of SOT depending on what you are doing on them.
Tested this on an HTC U11 (same cpu as Nokia 8) and a LG G7 (same cpu as 9 Pureview).
Between those two, the SD845 is way more efficient than 835. Both were used under Android 8.

It's a shame that Apple didn't go along with these mini/compact models and instead is making these stupidly large "Plus" models that only chicks with daddy issues buy!

If that's the case, then Apple phones have far worse battery life from that metric.

Outside of that not much can be done that I researched myself, just be careful with the battery and that’s it!
