Screen density ? The greater the number of pixels on your screen when you are online, the quicker you exhaust your data allowance. For photography though the higher the resolution the better able you are to check focus detail. If you cannot enlarge enough to distinguish a picture that is in focus from one that is not, you may think you have a good result when it is OOF (out of focus)and a dud.
So buy a phone where YOU can control your resolution. 1080P is more than enough for gaming on a 32 INCH TV! so it is easily excellent on an online phone, refreshes much faster and does not stress or overheat the processor.
If you cannot limit screen resolution when online you will VERY quickly exhaust your data allowance, unless you have unlimited data. Nobody talks about this, but it is a very expensive mistake to ignore...

I am still new to iphone would love to try iphone 16. What are the key difference between China/Hongkong version VERSUS the US version.
I am in China but would want to use the phone outside China. Are there any material differences besides the lack of eSim?

GSM Arena today lists a 16 Pro Max with 512GB storage at over £2000, when I believed them to be £1100 for 128GB, £1300 for 256GB and 1500 for 512GB. What IS going on?

I'm not trying to convince you to buy a new Xperia. I do not believe you would actually learn to appreciate it. I am glad you bought an iPhone. I believe you should stick to that decision. It defines your horizon.

And, of course, you can always add 1.5 TB on the SD card on the Xperia.
You can't see beyond 350 ppi. Xperia 1 VI has 396 ppi, Xperia 1 I-V all have 643 ppi, iPhone 16 Pro Max has 460 ppi. So what? Did you see better on your Xperia 1 IV than you see on your iPhone? Of course you didn't. You can rant about physical realities (such as the limits of human vision), but you can't change them. As for the prices, they speak for themselves: they are both expensive phones.

Xperia 1 IV with 4K screen 1600€ 512GB
Last year 1 V with 4K screen 1400€ 256GB
This year 1 VI with FHD screen 1400€ 256GB (1500€ 512GB)
Don't argue with sale prices or discounts or current prices. Don't compare with other brands as well. Just convince me how 4K screen is worth same price as FHD.
