HI, 16 Apr 2009I have one Iphone 3G and now bought Nokia 5800.
Although ... moreThe features are not what makes the iPhone the iPhone. Take advantage of the App store and you will see why the iPhone is one of a kind. With so many apps to do so many different things, there really is something for everyone.
Personally I used to carry a phone, MP3 player and nintendo DS with me, now all I carry is my iPhone. Some of the games available are unbelieveable! I download Brothers In Arms a few weeks ago and it's so hard to believe I am playing it on a phone. Whenever I show people they are always impressed with the graphics and overall gameplay.
I have briefly used the 5800 and I found the touchscreen pretty unresponsive - I had to jam my finger down to get it to register I even touched it!

I have one Iphone 3G and now bought Nokia 5800.
Although Iphone has an astonishing design, the features are poor.
I´m using Nokia 5800 for one month now. It is much better than the Iphone. But I still think Iphone is a very beautiful phone, Apple is the master of design.

Anonymous, 16 Apr 2009justg a reminder for you to bring your camera wityh you all... moreI always take my camera with me. It either stays in my car, or in my bag. I think a lot of people do that as well. And if I'm too lazy to take my camera out, I just use my iphone to take some not so important pictures.
I really don't get it why some people makes a big of a phone's camera, as if it takes excellent photos, lol. When you buy a smartphone, the camera feature should be low priority. I would not buy a smartphone for the purporse of mainly using it as a camera, LOL. It's amazing how some people give too much importance on camera features on a smartphone and base their decision on that, LOL. That's really silly.

Anonymous, 15 Apr 2009iphone users keep bragging about their 18 million units sol... moreThe mystery of the disappearing 10 million 5800's?
"In spite of the decline, Nokia claims a number of gains that include slight increases in share for its home region of Europe as well as its historically underserved North American business. It also supports claims of a successful 5800 XpressMusic launch and says it shipped 2.6 million of the touchscreen phone during just the quarter alone, and 3 million since the phone was launched late in November. The company also hopes that the expansion of the Comes With Music unlimited subscription service, as well as its Ovi Store for apps and media, will help improve its bottom line independently of specific phone sales."
http://www.electronista.com/articles/09/04/16/nokia.q1.2009.results/
hmmm... 3 million, not 13 million as Symbian world claimed, apparently the error was attributed to mishearing that 13 million 5310's had been shipped.
Six iPhones for every 5800 how you like those figures laughing boy?

Here is how the great Nokia is doing :
(RTTNews) - Thursday, Nokia Corp. (NOK), the world's largest mobile phone maker, reported a 90% decline in first-quarter profit attributable to equity holders, hurt by a sharp decline in Devices & Services net sales, as mobile device volumes fell 19% year-on-year.
And by good competition from the Iphone !!!!!!!!!!

Anonymous, 16 Apr 2009I really like the iPhone camera, I've found it more than ad... moreI agree. I mean, I'm not going to use my iPhone for taking high quality professional photographs, I've got an SLR for that. If I'm at a party and want to take a quick snap for Facebook, I can. Its in fact easier to do it using my iPhone, plus with the way Facebook formats images, you can't rarely tell the difference.
I've been posting in this forum for a while now and we've discussed the camera issue, and the bluetooth issue, and all that jazz, and now that 3.0 is addressing most of them, people who are here just to cause problems are going back to non replaceable battery and 2MP camera, and its just a useless argument that I wish everyone would move on from.
To everyone out there who is posting opinions based on what you have heard, or spec sheets, find a friend who has one (you are sure to have at least one :P) and have a go with it. If you can get to an Apple store go and speak to the Genius' there, ask the question and let them show you the answers hands on. I love demonstrating the iPhone to customers, and nine times out of ten they'll remark on how they didn't realise it did that, and its not actually that bad a handset.
The specs don't define the phone.

y know i was very against the iphone for missing some very basic things that it eventually will have. the sidekick, the blackberry, and even other smartphones start off missing some things and are a little slow to release things we all crave. not everything is perfect the iphones best thing is the ipod integration. i hated the media player the blackberry and any other phone offered. apple has always done right with the ipod. i cant wait for the next update cause i finally gave in and grabbed one.

Sir Josiah, 16 Apr 2009*Sigh* Apple hasn't announced a new iPhone yet, so how can ... moreI really like the iPhone camera, I've found it more than adequate for the way I use it.
Most of the negativity comes from people who have never used it.
People are often surprised when you show them photo's taken with it, I have not had one comment criticising the quality of the thousands of photo's I've uploaded to Facebook, photobucket, Flickr or emailed to people.
If there's one thing I don't like much it's people speaking out of ignorance when they jump on the iPhone h8ters bandwagon.
