the major advantage of jail break is to be able to get apps that are bought for free.
this is the major case for most ipod touch and iphone, and i do not think much people get problems because of it.

This is a rediculis question you should never buy an iphone the child could find it out if the phone is unlocked.
It is enought to put an sim card from another provider to find it out.

i will not sacrifice my iphone's quality and the good that it gives me just for a 5 megapixel-useless, crapy, slow, not so smart phone like your typical nokia phones

just create and you will have access to all applications free or not. if you dont want to pay for the applications, just go to the free applications, it is segregated to the payable apps. you can download all the free if you want.

that software will convert your mp3 to the itunes file format, after you convert you can now add it to your itunes and use that mp3 as your ringtone.

I have the Nokia tune just to confuse people when I pull an iPhone out.
To set up an iTunes account you can buy an iTunes gift card and use that to set it up, then you can download free Apps like Skype, it's worth buying them too like Wolfenstein 3D from ID studio's, John Carmack ipretty much nvented 3D games and it's good to see him supporting the best gaming platform ever seen on a phone, I hope they bring Quake and Doom out soon.

It is another set back of iphones. First recommendation is for u to get used to default tones haha but im sure u wont be happy about that. To use mp3, first u need to jailbreak ur iphone. This is another way of saying hack ur phone with software. Then use quicktime pro programe to convert mp3 to ringtone. Then ur jailbroken iphone can file manage ringtone u created. Jailbroken iphones also allows u to download different apps too... So this may answer both of ur questions. Many iphone users jailbreak their iphone to undo Apples attempt to limit phone capability, but i strongly discurage jailbreak. Its not designed for it. Its just like hacking ur computer. As for getting legal apps from store is to set up itune account. Just discard credit card details when setting up. N only get legally free apps from store.
