Anonymous, 12 Feb 2009I love my iphone. But I recently met someone who hated it, ... moreJust a quick clarification... I'm assuming you are refering to a 'jailbroken' iPhone.

Unlocked = Free to use with any network. For example, I bought mine here in Australia, with Optus, but because it is unlocked I can put a Vodafone SIM in if I so desired.

Jailbroken = Where one has unlocked the phone from Apple's OS. I personally don't fully know the details regarding how a jailbreak affects the iPhone, but I do know it allows one to download applications from Cydia that include video recording, MMS and other features that aren't native to the iPhone or App Store. This voids Apple warranty and should only be undertaken by someone who really knows what they are doing.

                  Sir Josiah

I love my iphone. But I recently met someone who hated it, and I really wondered why. Turns out, he has the unlocked version. He's not enjoying all the benefits that I am through AT&T. He pretty much use his iphone for calling, saving pics, and texting only. What a waste. That's why I always discourage those interested with the iphone, not to get the unlocked one unless they really know what they're doing. If you're not really tech savvy, I suggest you go through the official carrier, that way you enjoy everything the iphone has to offer hassle free and with security.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970*Sigh* the iPhone still has one main advantage over the N97... that being, I can own it now. And if Nokia is going to continue their recent trend in handsets then the N97 will just be an epic fail as well.

And I have 16GB on my iPhone... research before you post.

You just touch things and see what they do, I've never needed it.

Good luck with your Nokia you can read the big fat book that it comes with to find where they've moved the things you need.

If you want the best Samsung are all over Nokia who seem to be stuck at the N95 specs.

It also is changing the look of phones, both physically and in the OSs used. The phone that is so below market level that every new handset by Nokia is dubbed 'iPhone killer', and yet fail miserably.

No MMS is due to it being outdated and the fact that email is significantly cheaper.

The 2MP camera, as has been previously noted, is more than adequate, especially when the screen resolution is so good. Great quality pictures at a low size, perfect for email attachments and uploads to Facebook.

I believe you will find pages upon pages of documentation on the Apple website, along with video tutorials. Apple is keen on reducing their carbon footprint as their latest line of notebooks proves, so the less physical documentation, the less paper used, and the less packaging needed. (You need internet anyway to use the iPhone, so I don't see a problem)

As for the usb cord... you can always get an extension lead. They are pretty inexpensive nowadays.
