Vodafone's plans for iPhones are pretty good really. The $79 gets you $550 worth of calls and 400MB of data, excess data is charged at 12c per MB.

That's pretty good if you go over your allowance. I don't know what all the fuss is for.

Pepsi, 10 Jan 2009Why would you work for Vodafone and have an Optus mobile? ... moreI work for Vodafone, have a Vodafone contract and am now looking for prepaid data from another network to use in my iPhone when my pitiful data allowance is used up.

I might even have to buy a USB modem and chuck it away.

Australian Networks s*ck as far as data on top of voiceplans go!

It's also common to have more than one SIM to take advantage of intranetwork rates i.e.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970It does if you enter an iPhone IMEI, it says not available at the moment and asks how to would like to be contacted, that was the reason for the two day delay, presumably for Vodafone to contact Apple and arrange it.

Give me the top notch games and applications from the App store any day, there is no comparison.

First of all, those daily options that you are talking about is not a daily chore for everyone. Secondly, if you use those features daily, then why in the hell did you buy the iphone and complain? Copy and paste is included in the upcoming 2.3 firmware update. You can sms from a call received, so you are wrong in saying that it can't. You can also forward an email, so again you are wrong in saying that it can't. Are you sure you bought an iphone? LOL.

The reason being, if you, as you said, signed up to Optus for 24 months on a contract, we don't care what you do with the phone, we still get money from you for the length of the contract. However, if you buy it Prepaid, then sure, we get the sale, but whats saying you can't just take it to Vodafone. They are locked so you have to buy the Telco's credit.

                                    Understand?
