Ron, 18 Dec 2008whats good about the iphone! well... iphone-i can watch... morethat is probably the biggest load of rubbish ive ever read

you can use the wifi and wifi ONLY for anything! you never have to use network data if you dont want to! thats just a complete lie!

also whats wrong with the music player?! yeah it isnt as nice looking as the ipod function on an iphone but it plays far more formats and is basic and easy to use.

also no free apps for symbian?! what! there are thousands!!

            whats good about the iphone!

            well...
iphone-i can watch you tube videos free via wi-fi

            i phone is free

iphone-i can view weather with one tap on the screen via wi-fi for free
n95-you have to pay data charges in fact by the time it takes you to get to the weather page youve already used 99.0kb of data charges 50 cents
            iphone free

iphone-i can download free apps for free via wi-fi
n95-you have to pay for all of them there are no free ones and no free demos if there are you pay half price for the demo rubbish

iphone-i can listen and download some free tracks off itunes free via wi-fi
n95-nokia music store is lame you have to pay data charges on top of that the track you bought/listened

iphone-i can view stock reports for free via wi-fi
n95-relies on you service provider which you have to pay data charges

iphone-from proven reliability and features of ipod iphone has the best music/video player ever seen album covers free lyrics to the song no charges at all and easy listen through headphones to enjoy even better sound
n95-extremely difficult music player dont go there because i went there

theres plenty more but wanted to take out the favourites of the iphone

steve jobs did a great job on this iphone and a big clap for him *clapclapclap!!*
i hope his next iphone will be exactly like the but with better features improved harware etc. etc.

The Iphone is obviously not a camera phone it's more of a music and internet phone, however it has bluetooth only for a headset and it's not loud. Honestly I think the Iphone is really good fun to use and it has a fantastic touchscreen interface but that it.

well you all moan about the 2mp camera. but its not built to be a camera phone you cant have it all its more for internet "thats why its 3G" and music and internet based applications "app Store" so please is you want a good camera go for the renoir or pixon. i work for a mobile telecoms company and im constantly telling people when they moan about the 2mp its not a camera phone! and i kindly show them the 8mp camera phones. iphone is unique. i love mine. i didnt buy it for the camera i baught it for the net and music. hope this either clears up the moaning on the 2mp camera or it will start an argument :P

I had a similar reaction when I showed a friend some photo's I took at his wedding and uploaded to Facebook, he asked if I used my digital camera, I told him they were from my iPhone, his jaw dropped because all he'd heard was "the iPhone camera is cr*p" and he'd never actually seen any pictures.

It's not the megapixels, it's how you frame your shots and use the existing conditions to get the best pictures you also need to look out for things that are interesting.

Iphone revolutionized the multimedia on the toucscreen part only. Featurewise, hands up to the n95.

Nokia waited to launch the touchscreens smartphones simply because they will be well crafted and well euipped (feature packed), in which the Nokia is well known through the n-series and e-series. Unlike the iphone whose main attraction is only the brilliant touchscreen interface. that is it for the iphone.

As far sales go, as i have said so many times, the sales sky rocketed because of the brand name and looks. The iphone isn't all that when you really think about it.

therock, 17 Dec 2008that was only for the 3rd quarter. Nokia still leads.Far out, I thought you had gone and changed your name to Allan, and now there is two of you! Far out, this isn't the Nokia N-Series forum.

To begin with, we don't care about your N95, so stop mentioning it.

Secondly, the real debate is Apple/Microsoft. Nokia is a tiny speck on Apple's radar of worrys at the moment. They didn't make the iPhone to single handedly take down the telecoms industry, they just made brilliant computers and MP3 players, and decided to diversify a little more.

And of course Nokia is still market leader, as it has been noted, Nokia have hundreds of models, and have been around for many years, whereas Apple has two, and is (not including the Newton) still new at the game. If the market share was based on one phone per company, Apple wins hands down. It is always been compared, the iPhone against all of Nokia. Just accept that maybe it really is that revolutionary, that every other phone company wants to beat it, its not that hard.

Now I know your next post is going go be calling me names with numbers in them, and how your personal preference is your all round smartphone N95, but maybe you just need to go over to Nokia, and praise it there, where it will be accepted, just like iPhone praise here is allowed, and I don't know why you are all shouting us down.
