The iPhone has revolutionized applications for mobile phones, allowing a vast array of applications that perform hundreds of different tasks to be easily downloaded and installed through the App Store, a native application on the iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPod touch. Using a WiFi, EDGE or 3G connection, users can purchase applications (some are free) from the App Store and download them directly to the phone. Apps can also be downloaded from the iTunes Store and synced with the iPhone/iPod once the device is synced with iTunes. The App Store was developed by Apple to interface with the AT&T cellular network. T-Mobile is also developing their own version of the App Store, most likely to interface with their newest smart phone, the T-Mobile G1, the first phone built running the new Google Android cellular firmware, which was likely built as a competitor for the iPhone.

Artanis, 14 Dec 2008How fascinating, every mouth of the teenagers and children ... moreOne example of why the Omnia is a POS.
The Omnia has 8GB of Internal memory, 90MB of phone memory and can take a micro SD card (in the example I'm about to give the phone had a 4GB card).
When you transfer files to it via bluetooth guess where it goes by default...
...I had a customer come in who had tried to transfer 400MB of files from an N96, she was getting constant memory full errors.
So you go to SETTINGS memory management to find out why, it showed the 3 lots of storage and the 90MB was almost full, the others were empty.
Can you move files from memory management?
No.
So minimize that then go to PROGRAMS file explorer, to try and find where all these files are.
They were buried deep in MY DOCUMENTS, so find the folder, hold the stylus and wait for the little spinny thing and the cut menu to come up, cut then go up a few levels to MY CARD and "paste".
MEMORY ERROR go to SETTINGS MEMORY MANAGEMENT and delete unwanted files...
... it is about this point that you want to throw it at the wall.
What did she want to bluetooth?
Some songs to use as ringtones.
Where do you think that is located, is it on the 8GB of free space, the 4GB of memory card or the already full phone memory?
Stupid, stupid, stupid Windows Mobile devices are not ready for the mass market.

How fascinating, every mouth of the teenagers and children hails its profoundness that they make it as a household name. Hefty price is inadequate even if Samsung Omnia is cheaper and overshadows its minimalist's features. As a word-of-the-mouth, people don't care even if they mislead of 8gb storage, 5 megapixel camera, Windows Mobile 6.1, GPS etc. All they care is the tradition..

Unfortunately the phone can not use its blue tooth to connect to any other devices, only to headsets, and to that previous comment, racism should not be tolerated in these discussions

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970lol thats just hilarious, id have to agree it is a bad idea to try and gift someone an iphone for christmas, but then again how many people give contracted phones to anyone as a gift without talking to them about it first?
other then that he did a great job of pointing out some very obvious and widely known facts ;)

Mia, 12 Dec 2008Hi, I've been using Nokia for about 4 years now and the las... morei'm using the iphone and i'm quite a texter,,
i can text almost 100 sms (which the amount of free sms my operator gives) each day..
texting using the iPhone is just amazing once you get use to it.
the only problem is you can't text if you did not look at the screen which makes it hard to text at a class if you still go to school. but for short texting i can type without seeing the screen for several short phrases.
but no worries i have my 6500c for back up phones..
E71 is a better phone?
i don think so..
coz my friend using it and he is going to change it to an iPhone soon..
if u really want an E71 forget it,, buy bold or new curve instead much better...
