Anonymous, 09 Nov 2008I think you got a fake iphone my friend. I think so too.

Safari sometimes crashes but it usually doesn't bring the whole phone down, you just reopen it and continue.

Even browsers on PC's crash when visiting some sites.

I haven't had a phone that hasn't had the browser crash at some stage except for 7 or 8 years ago when there was nothing available but WAP sites with lines of text.

After owning for 2 months. Safe yourselves some headaches.
        Safari crashes constantly
Keyboard & contacts lag like crazy.
Standby & usage times are always the same draining the battery without doing anything.
3 updates to fix bugs & none fixed yet.
The appstore is a joke, nothing worth buying cause Apple blocks anything they don't like.
Screen gets cluttered & hard to find what you want if you add to many apps (no way to organize) unless you void your warranty & JB it.
30.00 a month for internet & can't use it cause Safari can't run without crashing (no update will fix this) it's a lack of memory issue.

the iphone is the best phone because of the applications put on to it. most are free and others are inexpensive as well. ease of use shgould be a ten because it takes you less than 5 minutes to get use to it compared to other phones. obama!!!!!!

I agree, the BlackBerry Bold's been a big disappointment for me as well. I was looking to upgrade to it, then Apple released the APP STORE, all was good.

I never experienced my old BlackBerry Curve crashing from too many applications. Probably because I knew it would be stupid to run them all at the same time if I didn't need them anyway.

I can see where Apple is coming from, in implementing multi-tasking halfway. Stability. And that is the very reason why I recommend the phone to those who don't know better, because it's a solid performer.

I on the other hand, need to have push data (Email, IM, RSS) arriving in different apps at the same time. That's something I hope that Apple will implement in the future. They have the hardware, but the software is just crippled.

iLUVZtehIPOWNZ, 09 Nov 2008I concede. Ignorance is bliss. LoL...and a phone freezing in the middle of a call due to background applications using too many resources is smart?

I thought the primary function of a phone is to make and receive calls.

Blackberries are ok as long as Microsoft doesn't change Exchange too much as has happened on several occasions in the past.

Do you remember when BES stopped working until a fix was found, hopefully it won't happen again, BIS fares a bit better but doesn't give the full functionality.

Of course Microsoft is very understanding of it's competitors. ;)

The Bold was a bit of a dud, maybe the Storm will do better.

Having played around with the T-Mobile G1, I can still the recommend the iPhone over it. The G1 is a toy, although I can see the potential of the platform, it just isn't as well thought out like the iPhone.

Was it a java app you used on it's S40 platform?

Even the latest S60 phones require additional software in order to do it.

                                      wtf are you on about.

How many of these tasks can you see on screen at once?

How long does it take an iPhone to launch an application so you can continue where you left off?

Especially seeing as resources aren't being used by other things.

No-one cares, you understand, do whatever you want with your smart phone that can't even run Google Earth.
