iLUVZtehIPOWNZ, 09 Nov 2008Okay, I apologise to the people who still think this is a m... moreLiteral?
wtf are you on about.
How many of these tasks can you see on screen at once?
How long does it take an iPhone to launch an application so you can continue where you left off?
Especially seeing as resources aren't being used by other things.
No-one cares, you understand, do whatever you want with your smart phone that can't even run Google Earth.

A BlackBerry 8700!
No one else has come close towards the efficiency in using a BlackBerry. Nay sayers either haven't used one, or didn't know how to use it.
Enter the iPhone, user-friendliest interface even somebody with no hands can use.

john, 09 Nov 2008hi everybody..
I'm planning to buy a phone and my choices... moreGet the iPhone. The P1i sucks major a$$. Sony Ericsson well, that's a coin toss.
The iPhone has enough apps to beat the other two out of the functionality department. If you can, get the 3G version, it's better to use the phone in 3G speeds.

Okay, I apologise to the people who still think this is a multi-tasking device. I concede. It's a multi-tasking phone alright, kinda like my old Nokia 6233. I mean, when I'm listening to music, I can browse the web. Beautiful stuff.
To be precise, the iPhone is NOT a multi-tasking smartphone. Wait, let's make that shorter. It's NOT a smartphone.
The moment you can easily switch between applications running in the background easily, then that puts the iPhone in the smartphone category.
It's like labeling LINKIN PARK as Metal, when they're actually not. But they get away with it, and deceive the masses just because it receives emails from multiple accounts, kinda like my Nokia 6233.
Thanks for the definition of multi-tasking by the way, I didn't know people here were so LITERAL. LoL

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970If you have an iMac, get an iPhone, simple as that. They were made to work together. Not because of pro-apple nonsense or anything. I bought an iMac because I had an iPhone and have not regretted it one bit.

I just pitted my Sprint HTC Touch Pro 'a true smart phone' against my girls' 3g iphone and she about cried when she saw how fast the data was; not to mention TV and other things you won't find on her device. The Touchflo3D interface is awesome (comparable to iphone) & no wonder opera browser is so acclaimed. The HTC does it all plus with evdo rev A it crushes ATTs self proclaimed called fastest, ha, 3G net. Plus why would anyone pick ATT when they're new to 3G, have weak 3G coverage, and Sprint already has 4G... how long before a dual mode device.?.? Don't sign that contract unless you know what your getting into... and what you'll be missing out on.

Bart, 08 Nov 2008Heya Benson, im using my i phone 3g in combo with my macboo... moreYou'd have GarageBand so could make whatever ringtone you want it's really hard to convert to AAC in iTunes then copy to desktop and change the file extension from .m4a to .m4r and import it back, like I have to do in Windows, it takes all of 30 seconds.

nick, 08 Nov 2008it can only multitask on some things. you have no multitask... moreSo multitask 3rd party Apps...
...which is different to not multitasking at all, why didn't they say so?
Why don't you have a read through this:-
http://www.roughlydrafted.com/2008/03/13/iphone-20-sdk-the-no-multitasking-myth/
It's probably so the phone doesn't run out of resources and freeze up like Symbian and WM devices.

The iPhone is the MOST user-friendly phone out there in the market right now.
You know what, go to an Apple Store to try it out. It's an excellent phone, but it just won't multi-task.
