in the philippines, the iphone 3g is tagged as "and internet device with a phone." a better description than "a phone with an internet device." that's why people get so confused on its function. it should be used more as a mobile INTERNET device than a mobile phone.

    99% of problems are solved by holding down the on/off key and the function key until the phone resets, once you show people this and explain how iTunes can restore their phone you don't see them again (unless it's to buy more accessories).

        I work for optus, own an iphone and i can safely say it's the best web-browser we stock. We have recieved very few returns. There are two types of people-iphone users, and people with iphone ENVY.

          i want to know if they solved the problem with the bluetooth that it can be working with other phones with no problem is it compatable with ather divces or not??

                Far out, I've said it and countless other people have said it, yet people still complain about it.

                The reason you can't share music via bluetooth is to stop piracy and protect copyrights. Complaining about that is like complaining why shops have security sensors at the checkouts. Stop being so pro-theft and actually buy some songs.
                As for photos, it is a little pain not being able to bluetooth them or MMS, but its just as easy, as well as cheaper to email them.

                And regarding the statistics that 1 in 10 iPhones will be returned, I work in a phone shop and sell iPhones, and every single iPhone returned save one has been because of user error, not hardware or software fault.
                At least Apple can acknowledge bugs and fix them via a software update, and not make you wait until a new model. 2.1 fixed a lot of things and as more and more software becomes available, I know that I won't need to fork out another large sum of money for a new phone, but just sync with iTunes.
                I'm not saying they are perfect, but if any phone is to be, they will.

                  Nokia lagging behind?...ofcourse it is part of the game. I am sure nokia will come out with an 8+ camera phone once samsung's high end devices dies down.

                    innov8 might be my next phone or the omnia. I am open to other phones except the iphone.

                    even the old lady is smart enough not to buy the iphone and smarter to figure out to navigate the n95.

                    nokia boring?....heck no!! all n-series and e-series are feature packed. n96 is capable of TV and the e90 packs a punch. Also, the nokia tube is interesting. To have and own these phones in the US are amusing and fun. They are rare. Iphone is just common here.

                    By the way the n95 is capable of downloading music from itunes.

                      People have different requirements and what is best to them may not be best for someone else.

                      Nokia's once again are not the best, defined by your criteria the Samsung Innov8 is, 8 megapixel camera, Symbian OS v9.3, Series 60 rel. 3.2, CPU TI OMAP 2430 450MHz, 128MB RAM.

                      Samsung are working on 8 megapixel camera with optical zoom and also 12 Megapixels.

                      So don't come here telling me Nokia N series are "the best" when (as usual) they are lagging behind.

                      Nokia's are BOOO-OOOORING, they have nothing new, they find something that someone else has success with, copy it then sit on it for a few years.

                      btw the iPhone uses ARM based Samsung S5L8900x, 412Mhz, Bus Frequency is 100Mhz and it has 128MB of DDR on die.

                            All I see is a pack of whiners saying it's the worst, voting 1 then leaving a list of what it can't do.

                            The first Symbian phone WAS touchscreen (Ericsson R320), why did it take 8 years for Nokia to release a Symbian touchscreen phone?

                            Windows Mobile based devices are still buggy, their user interfaces were total crap, until the iPhone came along and all of a sudden the UI changed.

                            People always go on about "better" phones, there is one thing not one of these better phones has and that's OSX, the same Operating system based on Unix you'll find on Mac PC's.

                            Apple have not even come close to exploring the full potential of this operating system, look through the App Store and take a look at what people are doing with it.

                            I'll just stick with my iPhone thanks, it's the tool which best suit's my needs.

                            Maybe there should be a Psychological study into why people go so nut's over phones.

                              The IPHONE is not missing any features
                              it is just different than other phones.
                              I am using it every day and it is a pleasure and fun to do it. I like it you hate it.
                              It is perfect for me and some view millions other people
                              and bad for you. You do not need to proof anything i have the proof in my hand ..............

                                Again the only way it will be the BEST phone...missing features + upgraded camera with video recording and a powerful flash + the touchscreen and features it already has = one sweet apple.

                                the brand name is the reason the iphone sales sky rocketed.

                                there are better phones out there( n96,n95,n85, n82, e90, e71, nokia tube, omnia, touch pro, experia1, google phone (g1), innov8, storm,...etc...etc..) even DELL is coming out with a feature pack touchscreen phones.

                                    Hello guys!

                                    Im actually planning to choose one phone from these 3phones. But im at a loss as to which one is the best phone? Well, i want one with the least problems as its gonna be one phone thats gonna last me for quite a long time.

                                    Which phone is better in you all's opinions? Why? What pros and cons do these phones have? My choices are LG KS20, LG KU990 Viewty Pink, Apple Iphone 3G. Please advice me on this.

                                      I own an Iphone also but got tired of it so i got an n95, which I prefer more. N95 is feature pack and you can also do heavy web surfing.

                                        To those people that are comparing the camera quality of the iphone to the n-series, pls don't. N-series is equipped with vario tessar lens and carl zeiss optics for picture quality. The N-95's camera is far more advanced than the iphone.
                                        To those that can't type on a D-Pad..your stu*id then.

                                        The n95 is able to download google gps maps. So, my n95 has both nokia maps and google maps, and other softwares such as opera browser combine with the symbian. Next, will be the itunes. According to articles of the n95, it is capable of downloading itunes.
