This phone is so much fun to use. The UI is really smooth and easy. Much better than any phones that I've had in the past and phones that I've tried out. The Application Store offers so much useful stuff for amusement and resources. Pictures that I've taken from my digital camera looks great on its 3.5 display. Viewing and zooming on photos is so easy and very fast, thanks to its multi-touch functionality. Videos look very nice as well, especially the ones that I've downloaded from itunes. Web browsing is just great with this phone. Panning, swiping, zooming on the web pages are just effortless. The ipod integration is of course awesome and I don't have to elaborate on that.
I still say though that this phone is not for everyone. Just like any phone out there, it may not have the feature that you need on a phone. So I suggest you take a good look at its specs and features before getting it. Functionality-wise, this is just the best phone.

Decent phone.. bought it on launch day and sold it to a friend after I got totally bored with it due to the lack of a massive application base. Looking forward to the new 5800 touch screen and the Xperia X1.

Over rated phone. Doesnt even feel like a mobile. Most already installed applications are useful only if you want to connect to the internet and waste your data. Internet browsing drains the battery in no time. Boring phone, only good if you want to browse photos, watch some videos and listen to some music. Loud speaker is useless and handset speaker just as bad.

Marco R, 06 Oct 2008Nothing but a mess.
I have had countless iPhone 3Gs for ... moreTo Marco. I think you are the one who is a mess, lol.
Poor build quality? LOL. Now that is such a ridiculous thing to say. The iphone has one of the best, if not the best, build phone out there. It's 3G reception is just fine, especially after the latest firmware update. Did you even consider that it might be your 3g provider that has issues, and not the iphone? If you want the Blackberry Storm, just go ahead and buy it. But please don't make up silly stories in your attempt to mar the iphone's quality. Those issues you mentioned (light leaks, loose buttons, etc) are non-existent.
You keep on mentioning Blackberry, which only means that you are only here to promote it. So please stop lying =)

Nothing but a mess.
I have had countless iPhone 3Gs for different reasons... The iPhone so yesterday.
With all the problems the iPhone has from poor build qualities to 3G reception, the Blackberry Storm will give Apple a run for its money!
I have an iPhone 3G and have had nothing but problems and now Apple isn't standing behind there products because they say that all my problems are within specs of build quality - light leaks, loose buttons (and they only got 4 buttons), dust under the LCD and rough edges (sharp enough to cut your hand). If these are within spec, Apple has a mess on its hands... And they do! I hope the Blackberry can and will build a phone as they have done in the past that is superior to the iPhone...

Huh?
I have no problem using an iPhone one handed, you touch the green bit where it says answer call, then touch speaker if you want speakerphone.
It's also a lot slimmer than an N95 so fits better in jeans pockets.
