Terrible phone. Over hyped. My gosh, the only good thing about this phone is the user interface and the screen size. The rest is below par. I'm selling it off next week. What a regret. Even my 3 year old Nokia phone has slightly better features than the Iphone 3G. Sigh.

The iPhone uses a data connection to download the map as it tracks your progress using the assisted GPS receiver. No internet connection means no map.

Does it have caller ID? Here in Brasil, on Blackberrys and iphones when you put the country and area codes before the #'s, the caller ID just doen't work... It's ridicosly

Apple's iphone3g is nice, but compare to nokia's 5800 and Samsung's touchscreen phones, it slowing down in the trend.

Iphone3g has no MMS capability, only 2mp cam no flash, and no 3G Video calling/telephony. N5800 has 3Gvideo calling and 3.2mp w/flash cam, LG touchscreen phones (such as Omnia) has 5mp w/flash cam.

Plus points for the iphone3g is that its slimmer than N5800, has faster accelerometer, and more sensitive touchscreen.

Apple must release a new and improved version of their iphone, 'cos mobile technology is too fast now.

BTW, I just heard that Apple is working on the next firmware update for the iphone. In that said update, it's going to include the ability to turn off predictive text. I personally find that feature helpful and would keep it on, but I guess this would be a nice update to those who text in other languages not included in the language option of the iphone.

No dust in the LCD either. This device it pretty sealed-up. I hope people would stop blaming the iphone for their misuse of the phone. My phone lasts a day and a half for a full charge. I don't think any phone would last more than a day if you constantly use it.

This phone is so much fun to use. The UI is really smooth and easy. Much better than any phones that I've had in the past and phones that I've tried out. The Application Store offers so much useful stuff for amusement and resources. Pictures that I've taken from my digital camera looks great on its 3.5 display. Viewing and zooming on photos is so easy and very fast, thanks to its multi-touch functionality. Videos look very nice as well, especially the ones that I've downloaded from itunes. Web browsing is just great with this phone. Panning, swiping, zooming on the web pages are just effortless. The ipod integration is of course awesome and I don't have to elaborate on that.

I still say though that this phone is not for everyone. Just like any phone out there, it may not have the feature that you need on a phone. So I suggest you take a good look at its specs and features before getting it. Functionality-wise, this is just the best phone.
