Re... moresee nokia 5800 vid at the home page of gsm arena,,
nice design, features, better cam i admit it,,
but
even in the display it a bit slow compared to iphone
animation not as good as iPhone's
touch responsiveness not as good,,
UI is tooo Nokia

n96 and nokia expres music touchscreen cripple the iphone.
The n95 can go up to 16 gb.
Although i have the iphone also, i do believe it is in an early stage.

okay, so everyone's comparing this to the nokia n95?
well sorry people, the iphone beats it hands down.
i absolutely hate searching through songs on my nokia, and the ipod on the iphone is so much easier, just like any other ipod.
just try having an iphone before you start saying that the touchscreen is bad because you had a go on it for 5 minutes in the carphone warehouse and couldn't get the hang of it.
and yes, i do have one.
easiest phone to type on i've ever had. just like typing on a miniature laptop!
and as for the 2mp camera? my friend's phone has a 5mp camera on it, and the lens quality is so bad, it looks like something off a 1mp or even VGA phone camera.
even my ancient 3mp digital camera that i took on holiday with me took better snaps than my friends 5mp phone.
no phone camera can compete with any digital camera, so could everyone stop going on about it!
just shows you, bigger mp doesn't mean better lens quality!
nokia n95 only goes up to 8GB. well, iphone goes up to 16GB, and there are rumours of a 32GB model.
3.5" TOUCHscreen on the iphone versus 2.8" screen on the nokia n95.
stop praising all these gimmicky samsung and nokia touchscreen attempts at touchscreen phones
they just don't even compare :)

Some people here really need to get over it.
The iphone is the best phone, period.
Just because it does not have the features that you desire for it to have, it does not make it a useless phone.
What makes the iphone the best is its functionality. It offers other features that are very useful.
I don't know why some people make a big deal of those missing features when the iphone offers better ones.
The iphone offers other features that are more important than sms forwarding & BT file transfer. Which seems to be the features that iphone antagonists complain about all the time. Grow up people. Stop forwading those stupid jokes via sms. Be considerate and email them instead. Here in the US, we are getting charged for both outgoing and incoming SMS.

In my humble opinion - Nokia has made a good shot at Apple iPhone 3G with their 5800 XpressMusic. Have you looked at the side by side spec sheet. Please allow me to say - that basis the prices on offer - Nokia is indeed making some headway here.
And Hey, two different platforms - different concepts, especially with the software offering.
Do we need to look at the MP3 issue ?
The comparison isn't there - is there ?

anybody on here that say the iphone sucks probably doesn't own one. or can afford one... the iphone is the best phone available. probably will be for a while... omnia and nokia express phone are bad copies. please all the other people saying stuff about the phone being over rated. go try one. bet you will change your mind. nokia lovers!

it's almost a perfect high end phone, but really sad to say that basic functions are simply ignored. ie SMS/Photo forwarding functions are not there !! Really can't believe it...this function has being with others phone for at a decade already....disappointing

Iphone only has 2megapixels and the phone is HUGE! It's okay if it's 2mp, but the company makes it really expensive for features that are not really worth that much. but I've got to admit the touchscreen and design does look good though.

I have both in store and the batt life on the N96 is shocking. Also the software is terrible its so slow to move from screen to screen.
ok great hhd but thats it. I have worked with phones for 5 yrs and no phone come close to what the i phone does.
Yes some have more bits built in and others can do more but for what it has built in to it and what you can add and do with it along with it iterface and ease of use. It out does every phone on the market by a long shot

Anyway i work for O2 and we have it exclusive in the UK, and their is other phones on our stock list worth more than this but are on cheaper plans, the reason the phone so expensive is Apple take some of the profits on every contract sold, hence O2 put the price up. Otherwise the phone would be available on lower priceplans.
on another point their is plenty of phone with better technolgy, and more feature packed, but everyone like brand power. Plus working on the sales department, most of the people buying it is because itunes is easy to use and they already have it.

For all Belgian users and also for all other I-phone users all over the world: Be VERY carefull with the I-phone, before you know it, you will have a gigantic invoice of unknown data traffic due to the safari browser on the I-phone...
Whatever application you use or whenever you switch on the phone, the counter of MB's is rolling... And 'in Belgium, this can cause extremely high invoices...
I hope you'll think of this before you buy an I-phone and that you will take the appropriate subscription at your mobile operator...
