The iPhone has'nt come up to my xpectations, this lack good features,as of those in other Gadgets. This iPhone matters only the looks & the screen with touch navigation.Nokia N95 (8GB)is far much better, there what you see is more than what you would get.

320x480 isnt enough for a 3.5 inch screen
640x480 (htc diamond) 2.8 inch screen!

Just upgraded my 2g to the 3g iphone and all i can say is wow. This new one is way faster with 3G and the GPS fundtions are great. As soon as i got it jailbreaked so i download apps Apple doesnt want to post on their app store. I got all the instructions from iDAY.ca and it works great. Cydia installer is a better way to add apps you want for FREE. i do find the 3G Iphone to be a bit slow when going from mail to sms to phone. There is a lag, but i compare with many phones and there are lags on the Nokia N95 8GB, All LG`s really suck. This has to be the best cell phone ever made in the history of cell phones. check out iDAY.ca to jailbreak this puppy

The Iphone is a very clever design. But Apple have made two bad mistakes.
1) Poor compatibility with most bluetooth devices. A deliberate ploy to get you to use itunes I beleive.
2) Cant' switch off the predictive text.
Most SMS's are just informal chats or communication. So there is no need for predictive text. Abbreviations are sometimes useful, but completely throw the predictive text. As does a shortened phrase such as cu4t.
I can't believe they've given no option to turn it off !
Every other phone company knows half the people (that's millions of users) don't want it so they have the sense to give people the choice !
Very annoying & spoils an otherwise good phone.

r, 29 Aug 2008both n95 classic and n95 8 gig have exactly similar batteri... moreunfortunately no, the n95 and n95 8gb do not have the same batteries. you can see it on GSMarena itself
n95 has a 950 mAh battery, n95 8gb has a 1200 mAh battery. thats why they got rid of the camera lens on the n95 8gb, to accomodate the bigger battery.
you should own both phones before making comments.
this proves that many comments here are from people who never owned the phones they are talking about

just bought this phone a couple of weeks ago and have to admit that I like it,which is weird according to my friends because I've been with nokia so long. Bottom line nokia makes the best phones period, from what I see, however, if the iPhone had java or flash it would out perform the nokia phones, even without Bluetooth. Until then all phones is personel preference. Long live the n96!!!!!!!

As i have said before, soldering the battery to the phone is a stupid idea. Once it's dead you can't put in a fully charged battery. A co worker of mine has this phone and he said to me when the phone freezes he can't even shut it off and he can't even take out the battery and pop it back in because it's soldered. He also said if someone calls him he can hear it ringing but can't answer it and his call display won't work!

If u look the pricing of ipods in India and compare it with those in the US, there is not much price difference. eg. iPod shuffle costs $74 = 3250 in the USA (from apple.com) including taxes and shipping charges and in India it costs 3750. So I do not understand what special taxing is being done by the govt. in India that will increase a $199 phone to $700. This is a very old apple trick. They launched the iphone at $500 in the USA, and got the rich and famous to buy it and then slashed the prices once they got the money of the riches. Then by slashing the price they targeted the not-so-rich (the bigger market) and then compensated the ones who paid more by giving them Apple gift vouchers so that they buy something else again from apple for that amount by spending more money in buying something that they don’t even need.
I expect in India in the next six months, the prices will be slashed along with some bundled plans with Airtel or Vodafone (Postpaid plans with monthly rental of at least 1000) with 2 year-3 year contract. They will ensure u go for ECS or post-dates cheques to ensure u don’t cancel it later. This will happen eventually and then more people will buy and apple continues to be richer and richer… and then will come APPLE 3G V2.0 with stereo bluetooth support, video recording, copy/paste, 3.2-5 mp camera, sms forwarding and MMS and more that are currently missing…
Those features are missing because it was deliberate. I am founds 100s of users in USA who bought iphone 1st gen and then the 3g also when it cam out. Apple has left a lot of scope for improvement so that they get repeat buyers. If all the features are provided now, what will remain to improve that will appeal to the public to buy the new version… Think again.

20> A class action lawsuit already in USA for poor reception and connectivity where 3G already exists. By the time u get to try 3G in India, ur phone will already be out-of-warranty
21> Needs Activation thru iTunes everytime Sim Card is changed (of-course same service provider)
