Hell yeah, this is THE phone I've been waiting for. Anything I can expect from a phone, less the camera cause there's NO WAY a phone camera out perform digicam.
Get a card size digicam if size matters - they're not as good as bigger digicam but way better than your average camera phone - with a lot more resolution, less noise, and way faster respond.
The rest of it are just sweet. I wasn't an Apple fan but now I am!

For you people trying to tout another brand or phone: why don't you quote the specific model, unlocked price, and network supported services for our viewers? Try comparing Apples to apples and service to service. (definite pun intended)

The iPhone camera on the other hand is not a good one by any means. Low resolution and extremely bad in bad lighting conditions. Don't defend it, because it makes no sense.

I too hate phones with low earpiece volume. A word of advice on HTC; which I have.
The earpiece volume is great but the reception sucks - HTC TyTN II on Rogers in Canada. Be sure to test reception in a couple places on whatever network you are on to be sure you're happy.

Has the sound quality and volume been improved? The volume on the "original" iPhone is so low that you miss more phone calls than you hear!
If it is not at least as loud as Blackberry, Treo, Motorola, etc. forget about it...I will wait for the new Blackberry Bold or the HTC Diamond!

ppl shouldnt get dishearted by the number of mp on the camera, i have an iphone and the camera is super smart in detecting all kinds of environment, pictures actually look a lot better than my brothers N95.

Its mayb 3g but its useless bekoz of d 2mega pixel, nokia has better than apple, and am sure apple has better than this but its business my friends,next year am sure apple will announce something better than this one...Its all business for them and nothing else...

Don't know if this has been asked already, but if i am on a 3 year contract (currently 2 years left), would I be able to purchase the iphone with the sub. price?
i will be purchasing from the same company that is releasing the iphone in canada that i am currently under contract with (rogers). I think someone said something about them adding a year to whatever you have left, but not sure if that applies for Canada, just the US or is that was false information altogether.

hi pls help me on this one
when fowarding email i typed a wrong email add and now it is there in my history. for eg i typed the wrong email add starting from a, and now whenever i am fowding a new email and i type a, that email add also comes up does anyone knows how to delete it i am using an unlocked iphone and i have tried deleting cahce, cookies etc no luck pls help. thanks.

very disappointing.
by the way apple, SE released 8 meagapixels.
