Alex`, 12 Jun 2008No javaMIDP2 ?! meaning no games to install..only 10$ ones ... moreHey Alex, just thought i'd say- about the gaming capabilities of the iPhone, they seem to be a whole lot more advanced than pretty much any other phone. Obviously you've got other handheld devices that are better like the sony psp or the nintendo ds but to intergrate such a good graphics card into a product like the iPhone meens paying that extra amount may be worth it in terms of playability, support and shear convinience.
A question that'll have a really good answer (what there is one mind you) is how SE are going to bring thier psp platform to the mobile phone world, then there may be a real contender for best multimedia device as I don't believe the iPhone has much competition in it's class.
Anyway, good comment on the gaming side of things, it's somthing the iPhone at launch was sorely lacking.

gud looks but i was expecting more. they hv had a year and all they do is add 2 specs: 3g and gps, stuff u can easily find on other phones. still no video recording wtf? u can find video recording capabilities on even the simplest phones now. its bluetooth is still close to completely useless and its even more expesnive than the old iphone. YES! calculate it:
3g plan price x months in a year + phone price
$40 x 24 + $199 = $1159 iphone 3g price
2g plan price x months + old phone price
$30 x 24 + $399 = $1119 iphone 2g price
just to prove its not even as affordable as the old one.
im mad cos i know apple cud hv done much better.

With regards A2DP.
http://www.iphonebuzz.com/iphone-sdk-beta-3-suggests-a2dp-bluetooth-gps-and-ominous-bricking-reference-102167.php
and proof it has been hacked into the 1.1.1 firmware.

What a lot of people here are forgetting is that the iphone is entirely managed by software which is being worked on by a large team at Apple, this is different to the other manufacturers business models of relase/forget/replace.
The hardware will ultimatly support all possible bluetooth options it's just a case of time till a software update comes along that enables it all.
