It could come out this summer or maybe much later. In my opinion u should get the 3gs if u really want one. Once the next one comes out u could sell ur 3gs for a good price to pay toward the new one. iPhones hold their value very well n even the old 2g model sells for a good price.
The 3gs is a fantastic phone which I recommend so highly to anyone.

Most ppl who buy the iPhone end up keeping it cos they love it! I have used many Nokia phones, used Samsung, tried out some latest phones Inc the Nokia N900 HTC HD2 SE Satio, the iPhone seems the perfect one outta all of them for me. Of course it's down to choice n ppl can choose whatever they like. But to come to an iPhone forum with rubbish facts n bashing the iPhone without using it makes u a plank!

Why not pay less for less then? Practically there's hundrends of models on all brands that look as stylis as (and some even better) iphone, have exactly the same features (or a wee more) and cost, much, much less. If you think you have the money (or your parents do) to brag about it, then save the money and go buy yourself some designer clothes instead.

You pay 700€ for an iphone and you have so many limitations, the app store is indeed huge but 99% of the apps are useless.Indeed Steve is the best manager ever, he managed to sell a mid-range phone for 700€!Same with ipod,epxensive with limitations. Regarding Ipad just check Archos with Android, better performance,touch screen,faster and 250€ cheaper.Same for Ipods.Only Mac computers are really excellent. Well done Steve, you have tricked more than 100 million worldwide!!!! You deserve the OSCAR.

The X10 would have come nowhere near 1 million, let alone 5.

The iphone is best for those users who are practical, does not compromise on quality, and can afford to pay for services. Those people who come in here and badmouth the iphone are those people who cannot afford the iphone, but want one deep inside. Those are the people who settled for other phones. They brag on features that their devices have that true iphone users could really care less about. Features that make sense to them and their lifestyle, but does not really matter with real iphone users. And because they want the iphone themselves, but iphone does not support those features that they find necessary for them, they become bitter and hateful towards the iphone and its users :)

Porsche didn't make it either in the top 5 bestselling cars which is dominated by toyota, honda, nissan. But does it mean that Porsche is a bad car? Of course not. It simply means that Porsche does not offer affordable models for the majority of the masses. Same with the iphone. But for the iphone to make it to the top 10 despite its high price, is quite amazing. That is why, profit-wise, Apple beats them all.

You cannot compare that to the wider range of unit sales of phones that Nokia, Samsung, SE are selling, and in different categories. That's plainly an unreasonable comparison. But, you can compare unit sales of direct rivals of the iphone, like the n900, n97, X10, Omina, etc. That comparison would make more sense because they are all in the same price range and category. And of course, the iphone tops them all.

The words iPhone killer is such a stupid term. Not one handset out there is capable of stopping iPhone sales. Giving competition yes, stopping sales no. And it's like about 40 handsets ganging up on the great iPhone but the iPhone is fighting them all to stay the strongest. All this from the 3gs handset released nearly a year ago fighting off handsets released just recently!
However with the new more powerfull iPhone coming out in due course, that will really shake HTC NOKIA SAMSUNG MOTO SE BB sales!!!!! :)

nick, 02 May 2010you say that like fords are bad cars...No Fords aren't junk. But they come in all price ranges n r cheaper than a Ferrari, which r premium cars. Therefore Ford will naturally sell more cars due to their affordibility n bigger range. The same applies with Apple n Nokia. iPhone is a premium handset at a high price. Nokias have more phones n r affordable ones to sell, that cater for everyone.

Samsung - 64.3 million units (21,8% market share )
LG - 27.1 million units (9,2% market share)
RIM - 10,6 million units (3,6% market share)
SE - 10.5 million units (3,6% market share)
Apple - 8.75 million units (2.1% market share)
Motorola - 8.5 million units (?% market share)
HTC - 3.3 million units(?% market share)
Apple easily outsold all the HTC phone's added together and I doubt that Samsung and SE sold 5.2 million galaxies and X10's.
