High Tech, 18 Mar 2010HTC has not copied anything from iphone... Why would they..... moreHtc has not copied anything from the iphone? Look at Htc's music library. It's copied from the iphone's coverflow. Even the integration of proximeters and accelerometers tha automatically responds on the phone's position is copied by htc and the others. How about kinetic scrolling? Htc never had that before either.

Doewke, 19 Mar 2010Well, I'm practically convinced to but the Iphone. Like you... moreThe advantage of getting an unlocked iPhone is that you can use any sim on it, not just one network. Also if you go to resell an iPhone, the value is slightly higher than a networked locked. The disadvantage is that if you get an unlocked iPhone that is jailbroken to unlock it, this voids the warranty.

The advantage of getting an iPhone with a specific network, lets say o2 as an example, the network has a responsibilty to look after you as a customer. You will have the carrier settings confingured to the phone. The network will also allow you to use services such as tethering. You may find a good tariff offered by the network to get the iphone via them. The disadvantage is clearly you are locked to the network and unless you that network offers you an official, Apple approved unlocking service, like o2 does, you will have to jailbreak your phone to use other sims, which voids the warranty.

Like you said if you're happy with the brand you should stick to it! The only downside is its price and perhaps customer service. I'm reading a lot of comments on locked and unlocked phones. Do forgive me my unawareness or ignorance. But is it better to buy a locked one or an unlocked?? What are the advantages and disadvantages?? Kind greetings Jennifer

...the next iPhone and just transfer all of my Apps to it.

I used to hate the old way, get a new phone and start getting your old applications for it, buy them off the phone network if they still had them, download the "free" ones off stupid sites and they wouldn't work half the time.

None of that rubbish for me, just plug into iTunes and sync, everything!
