I am getting really fed up with my 3GS. I wont blame the numerous dropped calls on the inability for me to send a text at moments notice on Apple. But I will blame the horrible reception as compared to any Motorola phone I have used, the low quality speaker and the mediocre call quality. I suppose most of the people who buy the iphone dont seem to make phone calls with it. I have used the speakerphone a few times and it is a total disaster, the sound is horrible. I cannot understand what Apple was thinking? Remember those mono speakers that Apple installed in the second generation ipod touch, you know the ones that you could not hear anything on? I do because I spent over $400 on one. That is after spending over $400 on a first generation ipod touch with no speaker. Either I'm extremely cynical or Apple has a sinister agenda with these incremental upgrades. I find it rather uproarious that my two year old+ destroyed Motorola V8 has superior call quality, reception and speaker. It tells me a lot about the way Apple thinks. Okay having said that, I have found some really great apps in the applications store like: reel director, red laser, dropbox. remote, awesome note, photo studio, auto stitch and others. This is definitely a very capable handset, just wish is would serve it's intended purpose of being a phone more effectively.

Could someone please advise, if this phone has an option to switch from a qwerty key pad to a standard phone key pad, to enable one handed textin?

I havn't used it yet, though in the discription it says thats what it is for.

So.. I think apple has to announce a New phone quiq!..
The New HTC GOOGLE Nexus One is way better!! It beats The I-phone easily.....So apple!!! when is a new, better version of this phone comming??

stavros, 06 Jan 2010can i put radio on iphone 3gs?yes you can download a radio app but not like your local stations ...kind of like sat radio ... there is a lot to choose from go to apple.com and learn a lot more info..

Don't get me wrong, the iphone 3gs is just like a handheld mac computer, I can do almost anything on it, it's fast, easy to use with great apps, large screen so it's easy to see. But apple didn't think to much about the phone feature, I received my 1st iphone 3gs on a contract and within the 1st week i had it replaced because the calls were dropping out and breaking up even in high reception areas. Now my replacement iphone 3gs was working fine up until about 3 months into the 24 month contract when I would make a call I wouldn't hear anything but the call would go through and people on the other end would be able to hear me. So all in all it's a great phone if you don't want to make phone calls with it.

...so how about you name 80+ Blackberry models that conform to all the other features on the list.
