i had the iphone 3gs since launch in the UK. Loved it forever,then one day in October it started acting up, freezing, overheating , going on and off and deleted all my contacts for no reason!! so i used spare blackberry from home and i want to use it as a proper phone, im with o2 on a 24month contract but i want the blackberry datplan, is it possible to switch?? thanks

In terms of camera, screen resolution, and functionality (in terms of bluetooth and file sharing and file manager) it trumps the Iphone, but as most of us are aware, a phone being "good" is no longer about a list of features. As far as user experience goes, the Iphone is probably the best there is. As far as features goes, it has a decent camera with video, and multitasking for most system apps like music, web, phone etc. Snappy interface and great performance for games and business stuff alike makes it one of the best.

I have the older 3G and it is perfect, had it for a year now, reception is good, so is the battery life. Internet is smooth, emails syncing no probs.
Camera is fair, no recording is bad (new 3GS does record, that's why I want to upgrade)It does open email attachments like pdf/word. All in all a good reliable phone.

Hi guys, I was reading through all the opinions to help me decide between a new iPhone 3GS and nokia N97. But, unfortunately I'm now more confused than ever. If you guys maybe put ur personal issues aside and stop making personal remarks toward one another....someone like me might actually be able to make an educated choice!! I still like the 3G S a lot though, it's such a neat, pretty little phone. All I wanna do is make calls, text and browse facebook a bit. And perhaps sync with my itunes although I already own an ipod. For these purposes, will the iphone be sufficient??

Now they have developed their own.

friends i just updated my 3gs to the newer ver of the software 3.1 & suddenly the carrier name dissapeared. Mine is a Jaibroken phone (not brought officially from Vodaphone india) can someone please help me on this. Other than this there is no problem & I love it

Nd d Bluetooth is not givEn so that their are no virus problems in your phone so it ur mind that makes you think positive or negative.

i am getting a 16Gb 3gs tomorrow through Orange UK,
Just a lil qustion just found out it doesnt come with Orange maps cause apple are stupid...
does any one know where i can get GPS software for it without paying stupid prices??

i thing one most thing is missing their , that one is theire is no secondry cemra for vedio calling or one more thing no flash for capture night shoot. this is main things missing in new i phone 3G S.thats why i'm not intersting to buy it, but i like that all the features which is added new in 3G S. but still not comlete Phone what i want in apple I PHONE 3G S.

If it's exchange delete the account.
If you have a MobileMe account you can remote wipe the whole phone from the MobileMe website, you can also locate the phone, change the password and send it a message which makes a sound even when the phone is on silent.
You can also reset the phone which will get rid of everything.
