If you read through Bec's stupid list, you'll see half the stuff that Bec is whining about is having to install applications and as you seemed to be basing judgements on the iPhone on Bec's list don't you think it's just a little bit hypocritical?
Bec must have something wrong, Bec keeps pasting list over and over.

Omnia HD is absolutley the best symbian smartphone out there, there's no arguing that.
So is skype finally available or not?
Out of all those 1000000000000 apps, not even a decent voip or what???
As for iPhone, considering the improvements 3G -> 3GS, I bet not even the next model will fix more than 25% of theese issues.

You forget that samsung and nokia have the same os on those phones. Divx support can be installed. Most features are just an app install away.

I feel cheated from buying this phone. Its ridiculously expensive first of all. Secondly the app store has thousands of apps but almost all of them are useless. You only get a handfull of good ones. You may argue that apple sells the most phones, but most people dont really know what they are buying when they get this phone, they just hear that is sells well so they get it. 6 people in my firm have got the 3gs this week but have returned it. Its just not a good business phone, it lacks some of the features we actually need. People may mock nokia, samsung, se and htc but their phones are way better. Until apple makes a phone which actually has todays features, its best to stay far.

So if I open an N97 box, take out an N97 and put a memory card with a Divx file on it then add it to media player, it will just start working?
Skype works on the iPhone NOW contrary to Bec's list, it's been coming for the N97 since it was announced in FEBRUARY, so wtf's going on it's 8 months and it's still not there.
As I said I didn't have to go through half of Bec's list to find five things the N97 couldn't do, you said there were only three in the WHOLE list.
Things like maxing out at VGA video recording, just like the iPhone 3GS.
The Omnia HD does more things on that list than the N97 does therefore you should have got the better phone.

And the phone has the most boring, static homescreen that even feature phones with 10% of the cost are more attractive.

I had a good laugh about the battery...
I had an even batter laugh about mobile me that tries to desperatley immitate nokia's OVI
Laughed about the "voice control" that actually doesn't work on most BT (yes, stereo) headsets...
The "new" "just that easy" cut-copy-paste was the cherry on top of the cake... LOL, 'bout time!
Then, MMS and voice memos were a real a lowpoint, now really, this is apple advertising tech as old as vinyl discs!
"my iphone uniquley mine" how is that without jailbreaking and while decent developers are beeing put constantly in the background?...
And wondered why in the world do they hire expensive 3rd hand actors for silly videos...

I don't have an iphone yet. My friends do and they all are very happy with it. There is really no perfect mobile phone. Just buy what suits your needs. Anyway, for those who hates iphone so much, please watch this guided tour in this website http://www.apple.com/iphone/guidedtour/
