Anonymous, 25 Oct 2009Nope, I'm an experienced phone user who knows what I like, ... moreYEP, you have not for a second ceased to prove that:
you don't work in a store
you don't own a nokia
you never owned a nokia
you havent finished any chemistry class but yet find yourself talking about lithium bateries
you have no idea about the requirements of a business-class phone, aka. lifetime

POS pr no POS apple does not have a reliable operating sistem like the windows you so much loathe.

Apple only works because of companies like microsoft and nokia that you guys imagine to be so "low".
If you weren't an iSheep you'd see that apple is made out of spare parts from microsoft, nokia, sony etc.

Anonymous, 25 Oct 2009Unfortunately a large company like apple still preffers mic... moreActually the company Apple used to provide their point of sale solution off preferred microsoft.

Apple does not provide POS solutions and there's no reason why they should, that is left to companies that provide this service, Apple probbly didn't make the toilets in their store's either but it seems their cash registers attract just as much s%^&.

If you base your purchasing decisions on the cash registers shops use, you seriously need to get a life.

      If you mean this: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20321611/page/2/
I really don't think MS in MSNBC stands for microsoft LOL

It'd rather search for a 2000 article when everyone was in hype about those half-a-kilo weighing iPods :)))

That's mostly how the iSheep cult started.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Why are you linking to an article from 2007 published on a Microsoft site?

In case you missed it it is discussing the original iPhone, before the App store, before 3G, before a lot of things.

The world has changed, every demographic wants iPhones.

Hey did you see the new Mac Mini with Snow Leopard server?

A small business can use it for not only the usual server functions but also to manage iPhones.

Such a level of integration was previously only available to large businesses who can Exchange server and Blackberry enterprise.

See how it's all coming together.

50% of fortune 500 companies are evaluating iPhones for business use as are 50% of FT companies in Europe.

And if you would work, what you do all day? Unseal boxes to play with chargers instead of convincing people how great it is?

They are almost as unreliable as the Blackberry Storm, which is the current phone with the most issues.

The generic chargers we sell don't work with the N97.

As for the N97 I proved you were lieing when we talked about the battery and you said it was made of plastic! You don't HAVE an N97, keep dreaming.
And go play with your imaginary "Samsungs, Blackberry's, Motorola's, HTC's"

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970I don't even vote especially after seeing how Nokia sheep knocked the Samsung i8510 INNOV8 down by 3 percentage points in 48 hours, that showed me how worthless these ratings are.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Mate I charge Samsungs, Blackberry's, Motorola's, HTC's and more all with the iPhone charger, because it is USB you just swap the cables.

So now instead of using six separate chargers we use one with different cables.

The N97 doesn't charge, the Nokia AC charger is set at a higher voltage than 5v USB standard.

Well, I can see a lot of people complaining or praising the iPhone. My question is how many of you really used one? This is a big question. I too used to think iPhone as an over-priced, featureless gadget which I would never ever buy. But after using one, my viewpoint completely changed and I did end up spending around 1000 bucks to buy a genuine unlocked version of 16GB 3GS. I have used touchscreen phones from Nokia (5800), Sony Ericsson (W950, G700) and LG (KP500). But after using iPhone, I found it is miles ahead of the rest. Just name a phone whose UI & touch responsiveness can come close to iPhone. None.

Anonymous, 25 Oct 2009I'm sorry but fring is just AWESOME! I use other messaging ... moreFring is only good for messaging I have it on my iPhone, by the time a Skype call is redirected through Fring's servers the call quality drops a lot.

That's why a native Skype App is better.

Back in February Nokia was promoting the N97 as a "Skype" phone, what happened there?

Did they get a little sidetracked by Meamo when tired, flawed, old Symbian just wasn't up to the task.

Anonymous, 25 Oct 2009I'm sorry but fring is just AWESOME! I use other messaging ... moreTry a Samsung, Motorola or Blackberry Storm charger on an N97 or generic cargers built for these MicroUSB standard phones.

They don't work Nokia has set the Voltage higher on their AC charger to lock users in to their products.

Anyway keep your piece of junk N97, no-one wants to buy them, they all want iPhones.

You know why, people are sick of rebirthed N95's.

Anonymous, 25 Oct 2009So how do you go with editing documents? I also use Skyp... moreI'm sorry but fring is just AWESOME! I use other messaging services so I actually do need a more sophisticated app... that's how it is, N97 complex, iPhone for less complex people.

"half the micro USB chargers" you kiddin? there's barely any standalone ones out there and USB = universal serial bus... what more can I say...
I saw you reinventing nokia's batteries, but now even the usb? you're plain lame!

Af for freezing and bad signal it's not even half as bad as the 3GS... but wait, you're the guy that has never held a nokia since you don't even know how a nokia batery looks like! LAMO =))))

Maybe the iPhone would have had better reception, battery, and voice quality IF apple would have bought them instead of backwards engineering them from various nokia phones.

But hey, we're on the same side of the barricade, I use an original nokia phone, you use nokia technology made by foxconn (chinese rip-off)...

So enjoy nokia technology in your everyday (8AM to 3PM when your iphone dies) life!:)

I do not understand if the IPHONE 3GS is so much better than the NOKIA N97 then why the average rating for the iphone3gs is so much more lower than that of the n97 here on gsmarena ??????????????

I also use Skype on my iPhone, is that working with the N97 or are you stuck with third parties like Fring?

What's with the stupid charger, half the micro USB chargers available for phone's don't work with the N97, is Nokia using a non standard voltage or what?

Overall I've found the N97 to be exceedingly annoying to use, the menu's are all over the place, the screen is not that responsive, it often freezes, sometimes in the middle of a call, the reception isn't that great, the keyboard is annoying with the way it's laid out, the E75 one is better.

visk, 24 Oct 2009a lot of users talk about nokia vs apple. Ive been a nokia ... morei agree with you visk. I have a nokia n97 and use my old iphone 3g as a secondary phone. The n97 is the more complete phone, however in terms of touchscreen and overall 'feel' the iphone is better. The general user experience is smoother, while the n97's is sometimes blotchy and a bit slower. I do like the resistive screen, it is responsive and it's handy to be able to use my fingernail or stylus, but the screen on the iphone is faster and gives a better overall experience. Nokia are playing catch-up in the smartphone touch screen market - iirc the 5800 released only this year was their first touch screen phone. Im sure they'll get it right eventually...they're not the biggest cell phone company in the world for nothing.
