Lipo gets DAMAGED if it's overdischarged!
As for Iphone it's the battery that overheats not the cpu since the whole phone draws far more power than that battery can deliver (in certain conditions, see C rating)
And don't charge the device if it's hot, let it cool down first.

Why would I be st**id... moreIt is free if it is covered by warranty i.e. in the first twelve months.
After that YOU HAVE NO WARRANTY TO VOID, so you may as well do it yourself for twenty bucks, not that I've ever had to buy a new battery for ANY phone I've owned in the last sixteen years, my fifteen month old 3G battery is still going strong, better than new because it's broken in.
The more you use and charge LiIon batteries the longer they last, as long as you let them get completely flat around once a month and top them up when they are at 40-50% when required, they'll easily outlast a two year contract and you'll be getting a new phone.
Hey did you know some manufacturers i.e. Nokia, treat batteries as accessories and only give six months warranty (in Australia anyway).

It's very funny ,and so typical ,you guys took the bait. I bag iphone and all you can come up with is colours on the screen,I know you'll follow this post with all sorts of stuff but that is only because you'll be reaching,picking faults with winmo.
You'll be thinking really hard of ways to make iphone better,but deep deep down you know that can't be so.
Windows (as you know) is better on home computers and that simply follows on with mobile phones.
I'll enjoy reading your posts.

So where you get this "eye can't tell the difference between 65k", that sounds like something they'd brainwash you with over at XDA developers.
Of course the eye can tell the difference, why bother going past 16 bit colour on computer monitors and TV's then?

Either way... winmo? that is the most dry/boring os/ui you can have on a phone... It makes everything so dull I could go back to cans connected with a wire.
Old symbian rubbish? well that old rubbish gives 3 hours more battery on heavy use with a bigger screen/resolution than iphone and regarding openness you won't hear of complicated jailbreak and other BS.
P.S. it CAN eve use bluetooth and send MMS to the right adress.
