You know guys, latest topic was about cars and iPhone, and now about health and iPhone, this prove to me again that any reading is educative. It is off topic yes it is true, but it is also nice to see that mobile phones are taking us everywhere and reflect many aspects of our society and way of living. It is not an electronic device that we used to use it to communicate with others, it is becoming the closest friend to us that facilitate our life, and that we defend it to the end when attacked from others.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970LOL, sorry for calling you a criminal. I guess piracy are petty crimes that are not serious and are more tolerable, but it's still a crime. Yes, no one would die, but I am sure you won't appreciate anyone distributing your work for free, wouldn't you?

You obviously do not care. But you need to respect Apple for considering and protecting other people's interests as well. It should not be counted against them. I support anti piracy as well, and that is why I like Apple products.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Tax write off or not, those monetary contributions still benefit the community. As I have told you, I am a healthcare professional. I've known of younger girls than 17 years old die. So you are preaching at the wrong person :) Jobs got a transplant because he found a WILLING donor. Do you know what a WILLING DONOR means? Blame the donor for selling his/her organ to him instead of giving/selling it to someone else. Now, unless you can prove to us that Jobs got his transplant illegally, it would be smart if you just shut your mouth up. Because the more you post on things that you know little about, the sillier you look :)

The state of CA alone spends billions of dollars for public healthcare. And guess what? We cover medical costs even for ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. Do you know how much money the US spends on medical care for immigrants alone? Let's see how Canada and Switzerland would do if they also accomodate medical care for both legal and illegal immigrants like the US does.

Medi-Cal, Medicaide and Medicare has covered the costs. The scarcity is in the availability of the organs. That is why there is a transplant listing. And yes, without public healthcare, a lot of people could not afford to pay out of pocket for the procedure.

And you want to blame Jobs for all of those deaths? Again, your hate for the iphone has turned you into an irrational fool. Gosh you're a crazy person.

"Since 2003, UNOS has required that transplant centers inform all candidates that they can be evaluated and listed at more than one center, and that they can also transfer their care from one center to another without losing the time they have accruddd on the waiting list. However, not everyone can afford to fly around the country and be evaluated at more than one transplant center. In fact, many people cant afford a liver transplant, period." "the cost of a liver transplant is $519,600- a price tag that excludes roughly one-third of americans because they dont have sufficent insurance(or any insurance)"
