Three generation of Apple... moreI think it's because of the third party accessories availible for the iphone and the way in which the manufacturers have designed them. I mean you can only put the iphone, one way, in that designated dock in the middle of the, say speaker, and that's it. Imagine if apple came out with a totally brand new design? How many angry customers would you get? How many people would cry foul, that their accessories aren't compatible with the iphone anymore? I guess we'll still have the same form factor, with the buttons redesigned and different materials used. Well, I guess we'll have to wait until WWDC 10. =).

Hi! Guys, all you had been arguing fiercely about the iPhone 3G S, Ha! Ha! Every phone has their pros and cons, so it's not perfect, even many phones out there aren't perfect. I guess the bluetooth can't transfer songs/pic are because Apple doesn't encourage us to buy song from its iTune and send to friends, if so they will earn less. Support HD or not is not the main focus on the iPhone, it just more on surfing internet and it has the best GPS than I've ever seen, and Nokia's GPS left behind. Camera although low in MP, but good quality pic doesn't rely on MP, MP is actually how big can the pic be printed out, nothing to do with quality.

My ex boyvrend uses this phone, i think it actually cool but this one day on his graduation, i used it toi take him up on the stage , worse part is it cant Zoom, and i was like what the hack, a great phone like this cant even zoom, that was really a turn off for me, but ada than that it cool all the way......

i had two iphones 1st gen then the 3gs.I've had nokias and sony ericssons and samsungs as well.i am not a business man so i have not tried blackberry's yet but anyway here's what I have to say about D IPHONE;a)no lag b)no freeze c)best ui d)cam better than others with same mp or higher e)best display under the sun f)really fast browsing g)no drop calls and best bluetooth pair with my car h)best responsive touchscreen i)coming soon 1080p video output.
I meam c'mon people what else can you ask for if you are just a regular text mesaging guy and not a computer wiz?iphone may not have all but IT IS THE BEST FOR WHAT IT DOES AND SOME-------D' IPHONE.

well just diferent apple iphone 3g for to opertive system and internal memory of 128 mb to 256 mb just for all

That's how it works in Australia, I assume the UK is the same.

This is off topic, but has anyone had major issues trying to cancel their '3'UK contract when the time has come to do so??
I have one month left, and today rang to cancel and go to O2, i was then subjected to intense aggresive sales pitch by the telesalesperson for 65 minutes insiting i stay with '3' or pass my contract on to a friend!! OR just atay with them as O2 are rubbish!
I find this totally out of order and wish to know if anyones else has been through this experience? - i was livid by the end of the call, i'm thinking of reporting them to trading standards or offcom.

I want this phone but the SE Satio is coming. I'm sorta confused right now as the Satio has a 12 megapixel camera and it uses a Li-Po battery. It will even support the new generation of Symbian. Although Ithink this is more reliable. I guess I'll just wait and see.

The iPhone 3gs is the best phone I've ever had. Some people say the camera is so bad. But I don't think there really is a good camera in any mobile device.
Before I got my iphone 3gs, i had a Samsung G600 with a 5 MP camera. Well, the camera of the iPhone is 10 times better than that!
And please people stop talking about `what is better`. The iPhone is the best, you guys just can´t afford it ;)
