i might consider the iphone again if apple really upgrades the camera and change the style.
i prefer my smartphones to be all-around.

didnt you read a sentence of mine in my previous comments. i also owne an iphone 3g. i hardly use it though.
video recording is available to a jailbroke iphone.
whether the application is free or not, developers will develop better applications.

therock, 04 Aug 2009win mo's great too. Yeah, winmo is so great that htc, lg and samsung are trying very hard to conceal it by masking it with their own UI (touchflo, touchwiz, s-class). It's so great that several winmo devices would rather use opera as their native web browser instead of ie, lol. Sorry, winmo is alright. It was great before, but they somehow stagnated and became uninspired, which is sad. I would like to see winmo rise again and be a strong competitor once more. I know it can, they just have to work harder.

I am no sucker. I just want to give a fair comment, unlike you who seem to be a hater.
I upgraded to the 3gs mainly for its speed and video capabilities. Also for its improved screen (smuge and water resistant) and improved music player and improved maps, and improved camera, voice commands, and I'm sure there are others that I don't even know about.
Free apps are of course better, but I do want to support developers and compensate them for their work. That would encourage them to develop better apps.
I was referring to piracy, not jailbreaking.

no offense, but i think you are sucker. only difference of the iphone 3g and 3g-s is the software and mp. the minor upgrade isnt even worth the cost.
free applications are always better than application with fees.
a jail broke iphone isnt illegal?

But yes you are right in saying tha it's a matter of preference. If you want a phone that gives you the freedom to mess it up, get a symbian or winmo device. If you want a device that let's you do things legitimately and legally, get the iphone.

i repair N95's all the time the build quality is poor, too much plastic not enough class! paint peels off very easily, screens crack easily, the software freezes up all the time, who in there right mind would dare buy one these days????? there are so many filters in these nokias they always blow and need replacing. tut tut.

i still got disappointed. the iphone 3g-s is still similar to the iphone 3g.
the video and photo quality still belongs the n95....far and near objects.
Again it is a simple logic, the iphone's screen is bigger.

You have to know which frequency your device supports or the type of data plan your provider supports for those specs to even work. All i know is that the iphone's web browsing is awesome compared to the N95. User experience matters more than technical specs. But they're relative. A device cannot provide awesome user experience without good technical specs, well thought out UI and strong/stable OS. Some phones have impressive technical specs but a weak OS and UI (winmo, lol). Some phones have good OS, impressive tech specs, but poor UI (symbian, lol). The iphone just seems to have the better balance of good tech specs, awesome UI and great OS. Android and Palm following very closely.

I DID call an apple rep and an att rep. the n95's glory isnt down yet, it is still sky high. the n95 is an all around smartphone. You probably can't handle the truth of the n95 still a contender. Notice the n95 users response to you...means that the n95's glory can never be down.
im using the n95-3. I use it more than my iphone 3g.
also, there is not that much hype for the iphone 3g-s because of minor upgrade.
nokia is definitely connecting people...lol.

only sometimes will you have compatibility problems but there is generally a way round the problem, google will always sort you out!
