the iphones(2G,3G,3GS) will be like the RAZR(V3,V3i,V3X,V3xx,V3m,V3C,V3S,V3A.......)...one they people will get tired of it.( and it is already happening! )

why cant any phone manufacturer get this right?
8 megapixel camera with xenon flash (or dual flash)
D1 video recording
AMOLED screen
stereo speakers (decent volume)
a specific audio chip for good sound, no rubbish ipod type sound!
div x compatibility
and a decent OS !!!
Come On !!
decent browser!
and Bluetooth File Transfer
come on Apple, who are you fooling with this Lame release!

Again a sad phone i dont know why people buy this, yes if you are a kid who just want a play phone. Buy the Samsung Jet og Samsung Omnia 2.

The user-interface may be really amazing, but that´s all. Camera and video capabilities (even on the new iphone3GS) belong to 2006. With all respect to the people that love this phone. Look and better try other high end-phones. Maybe you will really discover how high tech 2009 works.

Please be more specific, ie: what is "best" about it's specs compared to similarly priced phones?
I tire of reading nothing but blind loyalty to what is nothing but a substandard handset.
There are now reports of speaker problems with the latest one, upon reading the link displaying the problem on the forum one person talks about the countless times they have brought back earlier handsets due to faults, I don't understand why these people will get another of the same after repeated bad experiences.

it's someone that knows if this Iphone 3Gs has GPS reciver ? wihtout internet connection,wi-fi ?I mean just like Samsung Omnia you put on it tomtom or other program with maps and it works without any connections or have to pay'on it !?!?!? does anyone knows this stuff ?! ples let me know , thanks a lot

Why is it that an "App player", which is apparently all you lot seem to want regardless of how $h1t3 the phone is at everything else, is all you want!?
You lot that thick it's all you can handle or is that also why they won't give you multitasking as you won't be able to cope with it?!
iPhone 3Gs IS the best app player in the world, well done Apple, however the higher IQ laden creatures in our existence want more than just that!

What makes this phone so popular? and how cool will it be when all other mobile os' have flash in 2 months aka HULU! cause you know steve will not allow it sense it would decrease the number of itunes downloads if you can watch for free

Feeling threatened is an understatement and I don't think there's an app for that.
I'd feel short changed too if I bought the latest 3gs to find it still doesn't have a flash, decent camera, video call camera, radio, removable storage or java support.
There is no such thing as iphone clones simply, the iphone is a copy of the SE p800, o2 xda2 and the neonode N1 to name a few, "but the iphone isn't a clone because it's better" I hear you say, yes it is, so by that remark none of these phones (omnia1 or 2, jet, crystal, any xpressmusic unit and the rest) are clones because in most ways (including price) they are undeniably better than any iphone out today.
Sorry you had to read this to understand, but apple make inferior hardware, I don't deny that they make good software but that doesn't make a complete handset.

yes it can transfer file via bluetooth to other phone... but it can't be unlocked yet in BALI... T_T

hello guys..i have 2 questions
1-anybody know anything about the bluetooth if i can transfer images and so on or not!
2-i had the original iphone 2g..the metal frame around the screen used to get hot and hurts my ear..so does the 3gs has the same frame or not..

nonsense phone. add a video recording and some stuffs and apple announce it as iphone 3gs. same design makes apple not creative enough, or they cant be bothered to design for a new model.

Why are there so many iPhone haters out there? This phone is, hands down, the best phone on the planet, and all I see is criticism from those who have never used it. I've had my 3G S for about 4 days, and I must say, there's not a phone that comes close to it in overall usability, power, battery life, gaming, and email.
It has one of the fastest CPUs you can get for a phone, the BEST selection of apps, the BEST music player and a very user friendly interface. I've had Nokias, HTCs, Blackberrys, and SEs, and I've never been so impressed with a phone.
For those who want an opinion, here it is. Get it now.

can the new iphone transfer files via bluetooth? its says in its specs that the bluetooth has an a2dp but doesn't say that its only works on headset.
