When I first touched an Iphone I was very impressed by the way it worked. The best touch screen and usability (no other phone works that fine with touch). The software is so stable and the hardware exceeds everything else. The design is so simple and global (like all Apple products). There is no better way to make a phone. Maybe other smartphones have better features but choosing one over another depends on what are you gonna use it for

Wanna know why the iPhone only has one button? Any more and iPhone users would get confused.
That being said, i'll stick with my blackberry. Apple makes nice looking toys, but they're just that. Toys.

disabled person, and senior citizens uses nokias! who get used to prehistoric phones and dont have the mental and physical ability too get used to it anymore.
they needed keyboard buttons and a big font because of poor eyesight and lack of finger control abilities.
i guess you are one of them, dont worry iphone users will also use nokias when they get old!LOL

I am happy beacouse prices will go low on iphone 3g and you can update your 3g to 3.0 software, it's little diference between 3.0 software and iphone 3GS

You are stuced to 2.30 firmaware, you must wait until dev team publish 3.0 ultrasn0w unlock, i think that will be today then update your phone and install unlock and it will work

Any phone that has a GSM rating of less than 8.5 is not a great phone Apple has anly 7.1 ... long way to go apple. And here is why..
- No Dual Sim
- No Slider qwerty key pad
- no stylus input
- no standard mini usb charger
- cant send and recive business cards
- you have to pay for mobile me - MAKE IT FREE

I am waiting for these features to be on the iphone.
i have the iphone 2g, but replaced it with the n95 and 5800 xm ( awesome all around smartphones).

iphone freakazoids, the n97 is not just a smartphone. it is an ALL-AROUND smartphone just like its siblings the n95, n96, n95 8gb...etc.
AGAIN--apple's equation: missing features + 5mp camera with a great lense, autofocus, and a powerful camera flash + brilliant touchscreen interface + fast processor = one sweet apple.

First of all, you put your sim card in an unlocked phone, then it works with your carrier for voice calls.
Secondly when you listen to music or use the camera or video record or gps, how are you not using your phone. Plus using free wi fi. I've had my n95 for 2 years, unlocked and i enjoy it all the time.
It cost more to get a phone at a reduced price with a contract and data plan that you must take for 2 to 3 years, then to buy an unlocked phone and use free wi fi.
Plus your voice plan cost separate from your 3 year month to month data charges.

Now which network in America are you going to use the N97 on?
It's not CDMA so that rules out Verizon and Sprint, it doesn't support the 1700 HSDPA band so that rules out T-Mobile...
...I guess you'll just be buying a phone to not use as a phone.

Can you wait 1 more year? If yes then you'll be seeing better features in the next version. With this current release, they just slapped up few crappy features which some apps already offered and selling it as 3GS. Don't buy it.
